I read a lot of books on a few topics this year: art history/theft/discovery, cybercrime novels and a few victorian mysteries and some graphic novels. Still not really on the ebook bandwagon. Still enjoying reading paper books in bed. Still finishing a few books I started in 2010, I expect this trend to continue. Wish me luck, and happy reading in 2011!

How many books did you start and not finish? Do you keep track of that number or do you always finish every book you start? If it’s the latter, I am amazed. I quit a lot of books.

I think I finish most of them eventually though I think two of the ones I finished this year I started in previous years. I think there was only one of these books that I didn’t finish [Death on the Lizard] because it was simply terrible, though I have a few that I haven’t finished yet.

2010 was a good reading year for me too, I second your recommendations of Tinkers and 1968. Thanks for the Brautigan recommendation, last year I enjoyed reading In Watermelon Sugar.
