They're only teaser design sketches but it seems Hyundai's upcoming facelift for the Sonata sedan will bring a sporty flavour when it debuts next month.
Hyundai is set to show off its new sedan at the Seoul motor show in March before it arrives locally in the second quarter of the year.
While details are thin on the ground, the car looks set to wear a large version of Hyundai's signature 'cascading' grille with a beefed-up central logo, new headlights and fresh bumper design.
The rear sees new LED tail-lights, a reshaped bumper and chrome tips for the exhaust tailpipes.
Word coming out of Korea points to two model grades for the updated Hyundai Sonata - an entry-level model and, as seen in these sketches, a 'muscled-up' sports model.
That car is likely to carry over the current turbocharged 2.0-litre engine, one that makes 180kW in the existing Sonata range.
