    Important work from confirms that 1.1 million casual workers will be excluded from the JobKeeper program. Not fair to them, not fair to the firms that employ then (who win't get the same support others will).

    This should be illegal. Banks are handing out mortgage pauses with almost no questions asked during (and rightly so) but real estate agents are playing food cop & financial advisor? I don’t think so.

    I worked a full time job for 4 years up to February last year. I took a few weeks off and started working a 30 hour a week casual job in April last year. No soup for me.

    Federal Treasurer is pushing back against suggestions the $130 billion wage subsidy was the result of work by former Labor Minister Greg Combet and ACTU Secretary . He says it was drawn up by the government with advice from Treasury.

    Fun Fact: There are 117 billionaires in Australia. Their total wealth was $378 billion (by The Australian). Good luck to them, I say, but it is sort of cute that these 117 people have wealth that is almost 3 times the value of the wage subsidy which goes to 6 million people.

    When we fight, we win. took to the FWC to get a fair deal for workers stood down as a result of & came out on top. There’s never been a more important time to be a union member.
