International NGO releases report on illegal logging in PNG
Updated
An international NGO says foreign logging companies are continuing to operate in parts of Papua New Guinea where the practice was supposed to have stopped.
The claim is made in the Oakland Institute's report "Taking on the logging pirates".
The Institute's policy director Frédéric Mousseau says the report is only one part of their effort to tell the world what's going on in PNG's forests.
