By Car

DC VegFest is a three-minute drive from I-395/Southeast Freeway.

There is a surface parking lot on 4th St. SE south of Tingey St., and limited metered parking available within a three-block radius of the venue.

Due to limited parking availability, we recommend that people take public transit when possible.

Departing from most points south and west of DC

Take I-395 N across the Francis Case Memorial Bridge and ignore signs to exit on the right to continue along I-395. Instead, proceed forward and get off at the South Capitol St. exit. Merge onto South Capitol St. southbound and proceed three blocks before turning left onto M St. SE. Continue along M St. SE for 4 blocks, then turn right at First St. SE, continuing to the entrance of the festival at First St. SE and N St. SE.

Departing from most points north and east of DC

Take The Baltimore-Washington Parkway South, and continue south as the road becomes DC-295/Anacostia Freeway. Take exit 3-B onto South Capitol St. northbound, and proceed across the Frederick Douglass bridge. Turn right at N St. SE and proceed until you reach First St. SE.

By Bicycle

Yards Park has bike racks clustered throughout the park, located along Water St SE. Capital Bikeshare is also conveniently located at the corner of First St. and N St. SE and the corner of M St. and New Jersey Ave. SE.

"Since attending DC VegFest, my boyfriend, who is neither vegan nor vegetarian, asks to visit some of the restaurants who were there."

"I am currently vegetarian, working on going vegan. DC VegFest opened me up to a few vegan options that will make it easier."

"I'd been on the fence about going vegan for a while. The community and information I saw at DC VegFest made me decide to finally make the jump from vegetarian to vegan." - Kristen

"I will no longer eat fish after visiting the Fish Feel exhibit at DC VegFest, and I will gradually incorporate more vegan choices into my diet."

"I was really enlightened by all of the vegan options available regarding both restaurants and foods at the grocery store. I had no idea there was so much selection out there, and the DC VegFest really highlighted an area that I don't know much about."

"My mother has since decided to adopt a vegetarian diet after attending DC VegFest. This is mainly based on how informative the event was and because she was exposed to all the different ways you can eat well, while being meat free."
