Work with type, and make type work

We get pretty geeked about great typography. Some of us have been practicing type design for years, and others simply can’t unsee bad kerning. At Typekit, we have the delightful job of making a huge library of beautiful fonts — from some of the best type foundries in operation — accessible for our customers.

Type is elemental to great design, whether on the web or in print, and our goal is to provide a service that makes great type easy to find and effortless to use, while supporting the hard work that our foundry partners put into design and development.

What’s it like to work at Typekit?

A quality product

We work with some truly amazing type foundries from all over the world, who are just as excited as we are about making type a mainstream tool for design. And we’re invested in contributing to the type community, too, whether through conference sponsorships, thoughtful articles on our blog, or by adding lessons to Typekit Practice for the next generation of designers.

Robust engineering

Fully integrated with Adobe’s Creative Cloud service, Typekit sees some serious traffic for serving fonts on the web — not to mention syncing them for desktop use. We strive for a seamless experience, which means a huge engineering effort under the hood.

Flexible location

Headquartered in San Francisco, some Typekit positions will be onsite by necessity — but we’re pretty accommodating of remote work, with our staff currently spread across nine time zones. We constantly discuss which cities have the best sandwiches, and you should feel free to add to our research. Find out more about our team ›

Live your life

Life comes first, and we get that. We trust each other to get work done when it needs to get done, and we stay open and transparent with each other to keep things flowing. Listen to our co-founder Jeff Veen on the way we run meetings for a good example of our philosophy in action. “Busywork” won’t get in the way of your work here, and it won’t get in the way of your life, either.
