GoFundMe Named One of “World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies” by Fast Company and Ranked #2 on “Most Innovative Companies in Social Good”

Redwood City, California | February 13, 2017– Fast Company today announced its annual ranking of the world’s 50 Most Innovative Companies for 2017, with GoFundMe joining the list among other tech companies such as Amazon, Netflix, and Google. The list honors leading enterprises and rising newcomers that exemplify the best in nimble business and impactful innovation.

Most Innovative Companies is one of Fast Company’s most significant and highly anticipated editorial efforts of the year. To produce the 2017 list, Fast Company reporters surveyed thousands of enterprises across the globe to identify the most notable innovations of the year
and trace the impact of those initiatives on business, industry, and the larger culture.

GoFundMe was also ranked number 2 on the “Most Innovative Companies in Social Good.”

Generous readers contribute to The New York Times Neediest Cases Fund to provide direct financial assistance to individuals and families going through a tough time. To raise awareness of the fund and show its impact, The Times shares the stories of some of its beneficiaries.

The 105th Neediest Cases Fund kicked off on November 13, 2016. To date, it has raised over $5.7 million, including $1.26 million from nearly 5,000 online donations. The donations poured in from all 50 states and 16 countries around the world, with an average donation size of $253.88.
