Police believe a 31-year-old man attacked two of his housemates earlier this month at the Skyway-area daycare site where they live.

Abdulkadr Muhamed Kadir was charged Feb. 8 with two counts of second-degree assault in King County Superior Court. Prosecutors say three young children were in the house at the time of the assault.

The attack occurred Feb. 3 in the 8500 block of South 117th Street. One housemate told King County Sheriff's deputies that he was downstairs when Kadir entered the room and -- allegedly without provocation -- punched him in the face while gripping scissors in his fist, causing cuts to his head.

Another housemate was upstairs when he heard a commotion and headed downstairs, only to have Kadir assault him with scissors and stab him several times in the head, according to court records.

Yet another resident found Kadir stabbing the second alleged victim in the head with the scissors and pulled Kadir away, taking his scissors and throwing them in the yard.

Deputies arrived to find one of the housemates restraining Kadir outside the house. A deputy handcuffing Kadir reportedly found a cut in the middle of one of his hands and dried blood on both of his hands. He also found two of the housemates bleeding from their heads, court records indicate.

The same deputy also allegedly found bloody scissors in the yard.

Kadir lived at the house with his wife and child in addition to the other male housemates. King County prosecutors say the home was used as a daycare.

Kadir remains held on $250,000 bail.
