THEY'VE AGREED TO LOOSEN IMPORT RESTRICTIONS ON AUSTRALIAN SUGAR AND CATTLE ... ALONG WITH INDONESIAN FERTILISERS AND CHEMICALS. THE PRIME MINISTER SAYS ... THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE TWO NATIONS IS IN FINE HEALTH... AFTER A TWO DAY VISIT BY THE INDONESIAN PRESIDENT.
ELDERS IN THE REMOTE ARNHEM LAND COMMUNITY OF MANIN-GREEDA ARE CALLING FOR MORE CONSULTATION WITH THE NORTHERN TERRITORY GOVERNMENT AFTER A REPORT REVEALED A LARGE NUMBER OF CHILDREN ARE STILL BEING REMOVED FROM THEIR FAMILIES. SCIENTISTS ONBOARD A C-S-I-R-O RESEARCH VESSEL HAVE FILMED THE SEAFLOOR NEXT TO THE MELTING TOTTEN GLACIER ON THE SABRINA COAST. THE PICTURES WILL BE USED TO SUPPORT A PROPOSAL FOR THE AREA TO BE PROTECTED AS AN INTERNATIONAL MARINE RESERVE.
