Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr. (born August 3, 1977), is an American football quarterback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL).
After playing college football for the University of Michigan, Tom Brady was drafted by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft. In Brady's 14 seasons as a starter (he did not start as a rookie, and missed nearly all of 2008 with a torn ACL), the Patriots have earned six trips to the Super Bowl (the most for any quarterback, ever), winning four. Brady has won three Super Bowl MVP (Super Bowl XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XLIX) and two league MVP awards (2007 and 2010), has been selected to eleven Pro Bowls, and has led the Patriots to more division titles (13) than any other quarterback in NFL history. Brady is fifth all-time in career passing yards and third in career touchdown passes. His career postseason record is 22–9; he has won more playoff games than any other QB, and appeared in more playoff games than any player at any position. He led the Patriots when they set the NFL record for the longest consecutive win streak, including the playoffs, with 21 straight wins in the 2003 and 2004 seasons. He also set the record for most consecutive playoff wins with 10, and in 2007 led the Patriots to the first undefeated regular season since the season was expanded to 16 games. He has thrown for more passing yards and touchdowns than any quarterback in NFL postseason history, and has the sixth highest career passer rating of all time (96.6) among quarterbacks with at least 1,500 career passing attempts.
Brady is a surname derived from the Irish surname Ó Brádaigh or Mac Brádaigh.
In a listing by the U.S. Census Bureau of the Most Common U.S. Surnames Brady is ranked at #411.
Notable people with the surname include:

Wahlberg later transitioned to acting, appearing in films such as the drama Boogie Nights and the satirical war comedy-drama Three Kings during the 1990s. In the 2000s, he starred in the biographical disaster drama The Perfect Storm, the science fiction film Planet of the Apes, and the Martin Scorsese-directed neo-noir crime drama The Departed. Patriots' Day (officially Patriots' Day in Massachusetts and Wisconsin and Patriot's Day in Maine) is an official state holiday commemorating the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the first battles of the American Revolutionary War. The holiday was originally celebrated on April 19, the actual anniversary of the battles (fought in 1775).
Since 1969, it has been observed on the third Monday in April in Massachusetts and in Maine, (which until the mid-19th century was part of Massachusetts). The Monday holiday creates a three-day long weekend. It is also the first day of a vacation week for public schools in both states and a school holiday for many local colleges and universities, both public and private.
The day is a public school observance day in Wisconsin. Florida law also encourages people to celebrate it, though it is not treated as a public holiday.
Observances and re-enactments of the battles occur annually at Lexington Green in Lexington, Massachusetts (around 6:00 am) and the Old North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts (around 9:00 am). In the morning, mounted re-enactors with state police escorts retrace the Midnight Rides of Paul Revere and William Dawes, calling out warnings the whole way.
Skip Bayless (born December 4, 1951) is an American sports columnist, author, and television personality who is best known as a commentator on the ESPN2 show, First Take, with Stephen A. Smith.
Bayless was born John Edward Bayless II in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and his father immediately began calling him Skip – his father also had called his mother "Skip", as in "skipper of the ship". The name stuck, and Bayless was never called John by his parents. He eventually had his name legally changed to Skip. His parents owned and operated the Hickory House restaurant in Oklahoma City, which specialized in barbecue. Bayless worked in the restaurant in his youth, but never considered it as a career path. His younger brother Rick Bayless carried on the family tradition and became a chef, restaurateur and television personality. He also has a younger sister.
Bayless' interest in sports began at an early age and he played baseball and basketball. Bayless was the salutatorian of Northwest Classen's graduating class of 1970. He was a two-year member of the National Honor Society and president of the school's Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter. He was also an officer in the letterman's club. At the urging of one of his English teachers, Bayless became the primary sports columnist for the school newspaper his junior and senior years. Prior to his senior year, Bayless represented Northwest Classen at Oklahoma Boys State. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Grantland Rice Scholarship (named for the sportswriter of the same name) to attend Vanderbilt University (Rice's alma mater). While at Vanderbilt, he majored in English and history, and graduated cum laude in 1974. He was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity, serving two years as the chapter's "rho" (sports director). He was also the sports editor of The Hustler, the university's student newspaper, and spent the summer of 1969 interning under sports editor Frank Boggs at The Daily Oklahoman.

Tom Brady's diet is insane. According to an interview that his family's personal chef Allen Campbell did with Boston.com back in January, the Patriots quarterback doesn't eat anything that has sugar, flour, MSG, tomatoes, mushrooms, or, well, anything even remotely unhealthy in it. He's never had a single sip of coffee in his life. More than 80 percent of everything he eats falls into the "fruits and vegetables" category. And as a snack—er, "snack"?—Brady likes to kick back with a big tiny bowl of avocado ice cream. I wanna dance with you this whole night
I hope the music never slows up
I hope this place don't never close up
Hold tight
'cause you're the only one who feels right
Girl I know it's now or never
I wanna dance with you forever
So hold on tight - never let me go, baby
'cause I can feel the rhythm of your love
And when you get yourself in motion
Girl it's tearin' my emotions right in two
Hold tight
And we will dance into the moonlight
All the stars they will surround us
We will be so glad we found us
So hold on tight - never let me go, baby
'cause I can feel the rhythm of your love
And when you get yourself in motion
I get lovin' notions all for you - yes I do
Hold tight
And we will dance into the moonlight
I hope the music never slows up
