A search is due to resume for a kayaker who is missing and feared drowned in a remote part of the Murchison River in Western Australia's Mid West region.
The 31-year-old man's kayak capsized while going over a one-metre weir wall near the remote community of Ajana, 55 kilometres east of Kalbarri, late on Sunday afternoon.
A witness told police the missing man surfaced briefly before disappearing under the water.
A search in fading light on Sunday evening failed to find any trace of the man.
It is understood the fresh search will include police from Kalbarri and Northampton and State Emergency Service volunteers.
