A-ha
A-ha (stylized as a-ha; Norwegian pronunciation: [ɑˈhɑː]) are a Norwegian band formed in Oslo in 1982. The band was founded by Morten Harket (vocals), Magne Furuholmen (keyboards) and Pål Waaktaar-Savoy (guitars). The group initially rose to fame during the mid-1980s after being discovered by musician and producer John Ratcliff, and had continued global success in the 1990s and 2000s.
A-ha achieved their biggest success with their debut album, Hunting High and Low, in 1985. That album peaked at number 1 in their native Norway, number 2 in the UK, and number 15 on the US Billboard album chart; yielded two international number-one singles, "Take On Me" and "The Sun Always Shines on TV"; and earned the band a Grammy Award nomination as Best New Artist. In the UK, Hunting High and Low continued its chart success into the following year, becoming one of the best-selling albums of 1986. In 1994, after their fifth studio album, Memorial Beach, failed to achieve the commercial success of their previous albums, the band went on a hiatus.

Howard Barker
Howard E. Barker (born 28 June 1946) is a British playwright.
The Theatre of Catastrophe
Barker has coined the term "Theatre of Catastrophe" to describe his work. His plays often explore violence, sexuality, the desire for power, and human motivation.
Rejecting the widespread notion that an audience should share a single response to the events onstage, Barker works to fragment response, forcing each viewer to wrestle with the play alone. "We must overcome the urge to do things in unison" he writes. "To chant together, to hum banal tunes together, is not collectivity." Where other playwrights might clarify a scene, Barker seeks to render it more complex, ambiguous, and unstable.
Only through a tragic renaissance, Barker argues, will beauty and poetry return to the stage. "Tragedy liberates language from banality" he asserts. "It returns poetry to speech."
Themes
Barker frequently turns to historical events for inspiration. His play Scenes from an Execution, for example, centers on the aftermath of the Battle of Lepanto (1571) and a fictional female artist commissioned to create a commemorative painting of the Venetian victory over the Ottoman fleet. Scenes from an Execution, originally written for Radio 3 and starring Glenda Jackson in 1984, was later adapted for the stage. The short play Judith revolves around the Biblical story of Judith, the legendary heroine who decapitated the invading general Holofernes.

BAND AID - How the Money is Spent
In the financial year to 30 November 2024 Band Aid has awarded grants of £3m across 16 projects to date.
Activities in 2024 include:
Provision of life saving medicines and medical supplies
Access to basic healthcare for rural communities
Strengthening the support of health services in Tigray
Therapeutic food for malnourished children and vulnerable adults
Emergency grain supplies
Drought resistant crops
Income generating activities and vocational training
Construction of basic housing to support old and vulnerable people
Construction of emergency shelters for refugees
Provision of clean water and sanitation training across multiple refugee camps in Ethiopia
Training to prevent gender-based violence in communities
Hygiene and sanitation support for adolescent girls
Construction of schools and libraries, and provision of classroom furniture
Cash distributions for vulnerable households
Rehabilitation of boreholes and wells for schools and communities
School feeding programmes in Tigray to support children returning to education
The estimated number of beneficiaries totals more than 350,000 people.
Money raised from BandAid40 will continue to fund similar activities in Ethiopia and the surrounding countries.

The song was hastily written after the band agreed to a one-time reunion at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in 1998. There had been a lot of bad feelings between the band members, and each was hesitant to reunite. The thunderous success at the concert in performing only 2 songs inspired the band to reunite after a 4 year hiatus to record their sixth album for release in 2000.

Mit der neuen US-Regierung ändert sich vieles, das bekommen jetzt auch die Nato, Europa und die Ukraine zu spüren. Beim ersten Auftritt des neuen US-Verteidigungsministers, Pete Hegseth, in Brüssel ließ dieser wissen: Die USA seien nicht länger bereit für die Sicherheit Europas zu sorgen und zu bezahlen.
Mit Blick auf die Ukraine sagte Hegseth: Der Krieg müsse enden, Kiews Forderungen seien aber illusorisch. Dass die Ukraine Nato-Mitglied werde und zu ihren Grenzen von vor 11 Jahren zurückkehre, sei unrealistisch, so der US-Verteidigungsminister weiter.

In the financial year to 30 November 2024 Band Aid has awarded grants of £3m across 16 projects to date.
Activities in 2024 include:
Provision of life saving medicines and medical supplies
Access to basic healthcare for rural communities
Strengthening the support of health services in Tigray
Therapeutic food for malnourished children and vulnerable adults
Emergency grain supplies
Drought resistant crops
Income generating activities and vocational training
Construction of basic housing to support old and vulnerable people
Construction of emergency shelters for refugees
Provision of clean water and sanitation training across multiple refugee camps in Ethiopia
Training to prevent gender-based violence in communities
Hygiene and sanitation support for adolescent girls
Construction of schools and libraries, and provision of classroom furniture
Cash distributions for vulnerable households
Rehabilitation of boreholes and wells for schools and communities
School feeding programmes in Tigray to support children returning to education
The estimated number of beneficiaries totals more than 350,000 people.
Money raised from BandAid40 will continue to fund similar activities in Ethiopia and the surrounding countries.

This video for "Summer Moved On" was the first release from a-ha in more than 6 years, appearing on a new album for the first time in 7 years. The song was hastily written after the band agreed to a one-time reunion at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in 1998. There had been a lot of bad feelings between the band members, and each was hesitant to reunite. The thunderous success at the concert in performing only 2 songs inspired the band to reunite after a 4 year hiatus to record their sixth album for release in 2000.

A-ha
A-ha (stylized as a-ha; Norwegian pronunciation: [ɑˈhɑː]) are a Norwegian band formed in Oslo in 1982. The band was founded by Morten Harket (vocals), Magne Furuholmen (keyboards) and Pål Waaktaar-Savoy (guitars). The group initially rose to fame during the mid-1980s after being discovered by musician and producer John Ratcliff, and had continued global success in the 1990s and 2000s.
A-ha achieved their biggest success with their debut album, Hunting High and Low, in 1985. That album peaked at number 1 in their native Norway, number 2 in the UK, and number 15 on the US Billboard album chart; yielded two international number-one singles, "Take On Me" and "The Sun Always Shines on TV"; and earned the band a Grammy Award nomination as Best New Artist. In the UK, Hunting High and Low continued its chart success into the following year, becoming one of the best-selling albums of 1986. In 1994, after their fifth studio album, Memorial Beach, failed to achieve the commercial success of their previous albums, the band went on a hiatus.

US-Präsident Trump hat in einem Telefonat mit Russlands Präsident Putin vereinbart, „unverzüglich“ über die Zukunft der Ukraine zu verhandeln. Beide hätten sich zu gegenseitig Besuchen eingeladen, heißt es. Der Kreml bestätigte das.
Mit der neuen US-Regierung ändert sich vieles, das bekommen jetzt auch die Nato, Europa und die Ukraine zu spüren. Beim ersten Auftritt des neuen US-Verteidigungsministers, Pete Hegseth, in Brüssel ließ dieser wissen: Die USA seien nicht länger bereit für die Sicherheit Europas zu sorgen und zu bezahlen.
Mit Blick auf die Ukraine sagte Hegseth: Der Krieg müsse enden, Kiews Forderungen seien aber illusorisch. Dass die Ukraine Nato-Mitglied werde und zu ihren Grenzen von vor 11 Jahren zurückkehre, sei unrealistisch, so der US-Verteidigungsminister weiter.
Welche Konsequenzen hat das für Europa und die transatlantischen Beziehungen? Wie kommen die US-Pläne in Brüssel an? Und wie schaut Russland auf die US-Pläne? Është një vepër aktuale edhe pse ngjarjet e së cilës janë vendosur në Venecian e shek. XVI, ajo flet edhe sot po njësoj. “Galaksia” vjen me regji nga Rovena Lule Kuka dhe në interpretimin e aktorëve më në zë, si Olta Daku, Igli Zarka, Neritan Liçaj, Bujar Asqeriu, Raimonda Bulku, Myzafer Zifla, Lulzim Zeqja, Vikena Kamenica, Paola Kodra, Niada Saliasi, Genti Deçka, Naun Shundi, Bujar Hoxhaj, Urim Aliaj, Ermir Hoxhaj, Xhuliano Brisku, Juxhin Plovishti dhe Griseld Kapllanaj.
