ACT Fire & Rescue fight Cotter River fire

Fire fighters are mopping up a blaze near the Cotter River after bringing it under control on Sunday night.

Two water bombers, two dozers and 20 fire crews were sent to battle the grass fire on Sunday afternoon, burning along Warks Road near the river.

Nine fire trucks and two dozers would return to the scene on Monday morning.

"There is little to no risk to life and property in the urban or rural areas of the ACT," the Emergency Services Agency said on Sunday night.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for the fire remained at an "advice" level.
