    Daughter's homework project was to come up with a book title, and design the book cover. Her novel - "Murder In The Morgue" - was to have a cover depicting a cadaver on a gurney, with a knife protruding from the abdomen. Ladies and gents - the result:

    How many forces do mandatory House-to-House enqs?? What's the success rate? Or flood an area with cops after an incident for "reassurance", but then have to "reassure" the public that they're only there for reassurance?! There's many more effective ways to deploy staff.

    gives an opportunity to challenge the stuff we've always done because we've always done it. Unfortunately, challenge is not always well received, no matter the logic behind it.

    Until we change our way of doing things from being incident-focused to being person-centred, we'll always be responding rather than preventing. Every call is a result of unmet need. We must find the need and help (with others) to address it. Treat causes, not symptoms.
