The Marine 3: Homefront

The Marine 3: Homefront (also known as The Marine 3 and The Marine: Homefront) is a 2013 American action film starring Mike Mizanin and directed by Scott Wiper. The film was released on direct-to-DVD and Blu-ray in the United States on March 5, 2013. It is the third film in the film series and is a sequel to The Marine starring John Cena and The Marine 2, starring Ted DiBiase, Jr.

Plot

Jake Carter of the United States Marine Corps returns home to Bridgeton, a rural town located near Seattle, Washington. As he steps off the bus, he reunites with his best friend Harkin. When he returns home he greets his sisters Lilly and Amanda, and they throw a party for his homecoming. Meanwhile, in Seattle, a regional bank is robbed by a syndicate believed to be extremists; their leader, Jonah Pope, forces the bank manager to give them what they demand. They take half the money and burn the rest in front of him. It is revealed that the syndicate dwells in a junkyard on the outskirts of town, their leader planning an explosion in the city because of revenge from his past life.

The Marine

The Marine is a 2006 American action film directed by John Bonito. The film stars John Cena, Robert Patrick and Kelly Carlson. It was produced by the films division of WWE, called WWE Studios, and distributed in the United States by 20th Century Fox.

Plot

In Iraq, John Triton (John Cena) of the United States Marine Corps is closing in on an al-Qaeda hideout, where a group of terrorists are preparing to behead several hostages. Disregarding direct orders to wait for reinforcement, Triton attacks the extremists and rescues the hostages. The next morning, his colonel informs Triton that he is being honorably discharged.

Home from Iraq, Triton finds it hard to settle back in to normal life. He is fired from his job as a security guard for using excessive force on an employee's ex-boyfriend and his bodyguards. Triton's wife Kate (Kelly Carlson) decides the two need a vacation to help Triton adjust to his new life. Meanwhile, criminal Rome (Robert Patrick) robs a jewelry store with his gang: girlfriend Angela (Abigail Bianca), Morgan (Anthony Ray Parker), Vescera (Damon Gibson), and Bennett (Manu Bennett). Rome is in collusion with an anonymous partner, with whom he is planning on sharing the profits from the diamonds. On the run, the gang stops at a gas station where Triton and Kate have stopped. When two policemen arrive to buy gas, Morgan shoots and kills one of the officers, causing Rome to shoot the other officer while Angela kills the gas station attendant. When Triton reacts to Kate being kidnapped, Bennett knocks him out. Triton regains consciousness and gives chase in the policemen's car. The chase leads to a lake, where Triton falls out of the patrol car and into the lake, seemingly to his death.

The Miz

Michael Gregory "Mike" Mizanin (born October 8, 1980) is an American professional wrestler, reality television star, and actor. He is signed to WWE, where he performs under the ring name The Miz.

Mizanin first gained fame as a cast member on MTV's The Real World: Back to New York, which first aired in 2001, and its spinoff series, Real World/Road Rules Challenge. He later entered the fourth season of Tough Enough, a televised competition which awarded the winner a WWE contract, and became the first runner-up. Mizanin trained and wrestled in independent/developmental territories Ultimate Pro Wrestling, Deep South Wrestling, and Ohio Valley Wrestling prior to appearing in WWE.

Mizanin became host of the annual WWE Diva Search competition in 2006. Following his hosting duties, Mizanin made his wrestling debut in September 2006, as a villain who went undefeated for three months until he was defeated by The Boogeyman at Armageddon. In 2007, Miz was drafted from SmackDown! to the ECW brand, where he formed a partnership with John Morrison, and as a team would go on to win both the WWE Tag Team Championship and World Tag Team Championship.
