K9 Officer Licks Partner In Their Official Department Photo

He may be a professionally trained crime fighting dog, but he still loves to give kisses. Kenobi is part of Indiana DNR Law District 2's K9 unit. He was supposed to sit still while he and his partner, Officer Levi Knach, posed for their official department photo. The photographer was able to get one worthy shot for the archives, but it had to wait until after Kenobi was done licking and nuzzling up against Officer Knach.

The washed out pastel colors in the center section make it appear as though the photo was introduced to a new type of filter that allows the viewer to look at the building in the present as well as the building in its past, at the same time. A very cool effect that Google never meant to happen. #12 - Already Half Gone This poor lady here needs to work on her tan more since you can hardly even see her! Oh, that’s just because the Google Maps sphere messed up again and glitched the woman in half. She did make it through just fine double-fisting those beers, though, so at least she’ll have something to keep her hydrated. #11 - The Bird Man While the strange looking thing seemingly attached to this man’s face is probably facial hair caught off guard by the Google sphere, it looks rather like he has a bird’s beak instead of a nose. People these days get all sorts of strange modifications done to their bodies, a bird beak isn’t quite as far-fetched as you might think. #10 - Another Strange Beach Goer Here is another strange capture from our friends over at Google Maps. Instead of taking away half of her body, in this one, the glitch fused the two halves together. Now instead of being an innocent beach goer, she looks like a demented half-formed creature that washed ashore. #9 - The Ghost Lady The glitch that occurred on this lady’s picture makes her appear as though she has already passed from this world. At least with this glitch, she was able to keep most of her body, others in this video were not so lucky. #8 - The Unknown Who knows what they were trying to capture here. Whatever part of the landscape it was, you’ll never be able to tell with this hot mess of a picture. #7 - The Semblance of Yoga At first glance, this looks like a picture of a woman doing a sitting yoga pose. Upon closer inspection you can see that that is not the case, in fact, the more you look at it, the creepier it gets. The way the picture glitched adds a leg here takes away a torso there and just mashes up everything is utterly disturbing. There are too many body parts in the wrong places and not enough parts in the right ones. This picture could very well give you nightmares of unfinished people. #6 - A Slice of Glitch If you have ever wondered what a picture effect that looks like sliced bread looks like, look no further than this glitched photo. In it you see a vehicle driving down the road, except the entire middle part has been bunched up and sliced so that it resembles a loaf of sliced bread. A very interesting outcome for sure. #5 - Random Body Parts There are quite a few cool collectible things you can find during your fun-filled day at the river. You can find cool rocks, animal bones, electronics, all sorts of things. One thing you may not expect to come across is human body parts, and if you saw this in the real world, that’s exactly what you would have stumbled upon. Thankfully for you, the glitched body parts here are not dangerous nor are they simply left over parts from a gruesome murder. #4 - The Green Portal Google Maps often makes us see things that aren’t really there. Like this green light created by overexposure that looks like a slime green portal that just opened up a passage to another realm. #3 - The Halfsie This poor woman has just become the laughing stock for the next few ages. She was just innocently sunbathing at the beach when a glitched photo was snapped of her courtesy of Google Maps. The glitch removes the woman’s shoulders, arms and upper torso making it look like someone took the bottom part of a human, just stuck a head on it and called it finished. This is the funniest glitched photo we’ve seen yet. #2 - Capture That Selfie We have all been there; you are a tourist trying to snap some photos of the scenery with your face in them. Nowadays they are called selfies, and this guy was caught mid-snap. The image was found on Google Maps shows a headless man taking a picture of the view behind him. The best part of this unintentional photo is the woman’s face; she isn’t aware of the photo glitch, yet she still looks fed up with the whole thing. #1 - The Spliced If you see the sphere of the Google Maps car driving around your area, you probably do one of two things. Either you jump at the opportunity to share your pretty face with the viewers on Google Maps, or you run and hide inside where the camera can’t find you. This person was trying to do the former but got a glitched end product instead. Better luck next time dude.

Photograph

A photograph or photo is an image created by light falling on a light-sensitive surface, usually photographic film or an electronic medium such as a CCD or a CMOS chip. Most photographs are created using a camera, which uses a lens to focus the scene's visible wavelengths of light into a reproduction of what the human eye would see. The process and practice of creating photographs is called photography. The word "photograph" was coined in 1839 by Sir John Herschel and is based on the Greek φῶς (phos), meaning "light", and γραφή (graphê), meaning "drawing, writing", together meaning "drawing with light".

History

The first permanent photograph, a contact-exposed copy of an engraving, was made in 1822 using the bitumen-based "heliography" process developed by Nicéphore Niépce. The first photographs of a real-world scene, made using a camera obscura, followed a few years later, but Niépce's process was not sensitive enough to be practical for that application: a camera exposure lasting for hours or days was required. In 1829 Niépce entered into a partnership with Louis Daguerre and the two collaborated to work out a similar but more sensitive and otherwise improved process.

Google Maps

Google Maps is a desktop web mapping service developed by Google. It offers satellite imagery, street maps, 360° panoramic views of streets (Street View), real-time traffic conditions (Google Traffic), and route planning for traveling by foot, car, bicycle (in beta), or public transportation.

Google Maps began as a C++ desktop program designed by Lars and Jens Eilstrup Rasmussen at Where 2 Technologies. In October 2004, the company was acquired by Google, which converted it into a web application. After additional acquisitions of a geospatial data visualization company and a realtime traffic analyzer, Google Maps was launched in February 2005. The service's front end utilizes JavaScript, XML, and Ajax. Google Maps offers an API that allows maps to be embedded on third-party websites, and offers a locator for urban businesses and other organizations in numerous countries around the world. Google Map Maker allows users to collaboratively expand and update the service's mapping worldwide.

Subscription business model

The subscription business model is a business model where a customer must pay a subscription price to have access to the product/service. The model was pioneered by magazines and newspapers, but is now used by many businesses and websites.

Rather than selling products individually, a subscription sells periodic (monthly or yearly or seasonal) use or access to a product or service, or, in the case of such non-profit organizations as opera companies or symphony orchestras, it sells tickets to the entire run of five to fifteen scheduled performances for an entire season. Thus, a one-time sale of a product can become a recurring sale and can build brand loyalty. It is used for anything where a user is tracked in both a subscribed and unsubscribed status.

Membership fees to some types of organizations, such as trade unions, are also known as subscriptions.

Industries that use this model include mail order book sales clubs and music sales clubs, cable television, satellite television providers with pay-TV channels, satellite radio, telephone companies, cell phone companies, internet providers, software providers, websites (e.g., blogging websites), business solutions providers, financial services firms, fitness clubs, lawn mowing and snowplowing services and pharmaceuticals, as well as the traditional newspapers, magazines and academic journals.

World Press Review

World Press Review (Worldpress.org) is an independent, nonpartisan New York based magazine founded in 1974 and initially published by Stanley Foundation and Teri Schure, with an online edition which was launched in 1997.

The headquarters of the magazine is in Farmingdale, New York. The monthly magazine which had a circulation of 50,000 stopped publication of its print version on its 30th anniversary in April 2004 with withdrawal of Stanley Foundation and instead put its focus on the electronic version.

Worldpress.org publishes originally written articles and analysis on various world issues from environment and human rights to regional politics and armed conflicts, as well as reprinted material from the press outside the United States. The magazine describes its mission as "to foster the international exchange of perspectives and information."

According to its editorial guideline, Worldpress.org mostly focuses on the issues which are barely reflected in the mainstream press, translating, reprinting, analyzing, and contextualizing what it evaluates as "the best of the international press" from more than 20 languages. For its originally written material, World Press relies on its web of freelancers from approximately 40 countries.

World Press Photo

World Press Photo (WPP) is an independent, non-profit organization based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Founded in 1955 the organization is known for holding the world's largest and most prestigious annual press photography contest. Since 2011, World Press Photo has also organized a separate annual contest for journalistic multimedia productions, and, in association with Human Rights Watch, the annual Tim Hetherington Grant.

The awards ceremony is held in the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam. After the contest, the prizewinning photographs are assembled into a traveling exhibition that is visited by over a million people in 40 countries. A yearbook presenting all prizewinning entries is published annually in six languages.

He was supposed to sit still while he and his partner, Officer Levi Knach, posed for their official department photo. The photographer was able to get one worthy shot for the archives, but it had to wait until after Kenobi was done licking and nuzzling up against Officer Knach.

Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr #13 - A Snapshot From the Past The coloring on this image from Google Maps is an interesting one indeed. The washed out pastel colors in the center section make it appear as though the photo was introduced to a new type of filter that allows the viewer to look at the building in the present as well as the building in its past, at the same time. A very cool effect that Google never meant to happen. #12 - Already Half Gone This poor lady here needs to work on her tan more since you can hardly even see her! Oh, that’s just because the Google Maps sphere messed up again and glitched the woman in half. She did make it through just fine double-fisting those beers, though, so at least she’ll have something to keep her hydrated. #11 - The Bird Man While the strange looking thing seemingly attached to this man’s face is probably facial hair caught off guard by the Google sphere, it looks rather like he has a bird’s beak instead of a nose. People these days get all sorts of strange modifications done to their bodies, a bird beak isn’t quite as far-fetched as you might think. #10 - Another Strange Beach Goer Here is another strange capture from our friends over at Google Maps. Instead of taking away half of her body, in this one, the glitch fused the two halves together. Now instead of being an innocent beach goer, she looks like a demented half-formed creature that washed ashore. #9 - The Ghost Lady The glitch that occurred on this lady’s picture makes her appear as though she has already passed from this world. At least with this glitch, she was able to keep most of her body, others in this video were not so lucky. #8 - The Unknown Who knows what they were trying to capture here. Whatever part of the landscape it was, you’ll never be able to tell with this hot mess of a picture. #7 - The Semblance of Yoga At first glance, this looks like a picture of a woman doing a sitting yoga pose. Upon closer inspection you can see that that is not the case, in fact, the more you look at it, the creepier it gets. The way the picture glitched adds a leg here takes away a torso there and just mashes up everything is utterly disturbing. There are too many body parts in the wrong places and not enough parts in the right ones. This picture could very well give you nightmares of unfinished people. #6 - A Slice of Glitch If you have ever wondered what a picture effect that looks like sliced bread looks like, look no further than this glitched photo. In it you see a vehicle driving down the road, except the entire middle part has been bunched up and sliced so that it resembles a loaf of sliced bread. A very interesting outcome for sure. #5 - Random Body Parts There are quite a few cool collectible things you can find during your fun-filled day at the river. You can find cool rocks, animal bones, electronics, all sorts of things. One thing you may not expect to come across is human body parts, and if you saw this in the real world, that’s exactly what you would have stumbled upon. Thankfully for you, the glitched body parts here are not dangerous nor are they simply left over parts from a gruesome murder. #4 - The Green Portal Google Maps often makes us see things that aren’t really there. Like this green light created by overexposure that looks like a slime green portal that just opened up a passage to another realm. #3 - The Halfsie This poor woman has just become the laughing stock for the next few ages. She was just innocently sunbathing at the beach when a glitched photo was snapped of her courtesy of Google Maps. The glitch removes the woman’s shoulders, arms and upper torso making it look like someone took the bottom part of a human, just stuck a head on it and called it finished. This is the funniest glitched photo we’ve seen yet. #2 - Capture That Selfie We have all been there; you are a tourist trying to snap some photos of the scenery with your face in them. Nowadays they are called selfies, and this guy was caught mid-snap. The image was found on Google Maps shows a headless man taking a picture of the view behind him. The best part of this unintentional photo is the woman’s face; she isn’t aware of the photo glitch, yet she still looks fed up with the whole thing. #1 - The Spliced If you see the sphere of the Google Maps car driving around your area, you probably do one of two things. Either you jump at the opportunity to share your pretty face with the viewers on Google Maps, or you run and hide inside where the camera can’t find you. This person was trying to do the former but got a glitched end product instead. Better luck next time dude.
