Prosecutors have dropped charges against three brothers accused of raping a 14-year-old in Geelong.
Kevin Andrew Wild, 30, Brodie Mark Wild, 21, and Allan Wild, 31, were due to stand trial in March over allegations they raped the girl in 2015.
The three men were committed to stand trial last June, despite their lawyers arguing there was not enough evidence in a case that relied on the uncertain sequence of events and the alleged victim's memory.
They were each accused of sexual penetration of a child under 16, in Geelong in the early hours of November 1, 2015.
Prosecutors dropped charges against their brother, Rowan Wild, related to the same incident, last February.
But counsel for the Director of Public Prosecutions on Friday told the Victorian Supreme Court that the case would be discontinued.
Stephen Parker, a defence lawyer for Kevin Wild, told Fairfax Media: "My client has always maintained his innocence and he just wants to move on with his life."
Earlier, Daniel Gurvich, QC, for Kevin Wild, told the court that his client felt "somewhat vilified" by past and current reports about his case.
