Successfully launched in 2011, The Sydney Morning Herald Sun Run is Sydney’s newest summer fun run. The scenic 6.5km course from Dee Why to Manly showcases the best of the Northern Beaches, taking in the spectacular coastline. Held the day prior to the Sydney Morning Herald Cole Classic, the two events create the ultimate sporting weekend. Attracting 6,444 participants in 2011, it is anticipated to attract over 10,000 in coming years.

The Sun Run aims to raise much needed funds for more than 600 charities, including the Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club.
