Overview

Sidewinder (formerly known as Sidekick) creative is a multi-panel expanding DHTML ad format combining the static gutter ad execution with interactive, high-impact components, including:

  • Static gutter images on both sides of the site
  • Expanding medium-rectangle or leaderboard creative with 3 panels, namely:
    1. Standard in-page medium rectangle / leaderboard panel
    2. Floated gutter panel (same size and same content as the static gutter image with subtle CTA animation) displayed automatically on parent ad (mrec / leaderboard) load.
    3. Click initiated large overlay panel which covers the full width of the site and creates a seamless image with the two side gutters when expanded. The large overlay required to have a standard close button in the top right corner of this panel.

  • The mastheads may not be covered at any time (including the expanded state)
  • Standard Gutter Ad rules apply
  • This product is only supported on desktop devices!

Lead Times

TIER 1 Custom executions, bespoke solutions and where advised: 10 business days lead time or longer.

Your Fairfax Account Manager will advise you about creative lead times at the time of signing your booking. Creative produced by Fairfax’s creative team may incur production costs and requires approval by Digital Innovation Services (DIS) prior to an Insertion Order (IO) being signed. DIS will advise of production costs, asset delivery lead times on a case by case basis.
