Whether you’re a massive bookworm or you’d rather wait for the film adaptation, books can be an inexpensive and colourful way to decorate your home.
They may also make you seem more interesting.
Here are some creative ways to display your books that don’t just involve colour-coding the spines.
Under the stairs
If you haven’t got a teenage wizard like Harry Potter living under your stairs then you’ve likely got some prime vacant space. Rather than storing something boring, try installing shelving and displaying your vast book collection.

Wall to floor
Another option, one that only works if you treat buying books like a professional sport, is to go big and bold and take up an entire wall for your books. Use books for a feature wall, instead of just a darker colour of paint.

Floating books
This is much easier than it looks. Simply screw in two L-shaped brackets to balance the books. No magic required.

Use book pages
If you believe it’s sacrilege to cut up a book it’s probably best to skip ahead to the next section.
But if you’re feeling crafty you can take apart a few books, ditch the covers and use the pages to make a wreath.
