If you really don't need a large wardrobe then consider single door wardrobes or canvas wardrobes. A single door wardrobe will give you space for hanging a small selection of clothes and may have a drawer or two beneath the hanging area. Canvas wardrobes or open rails are simple but effective ways of storing, and displaying, your clothes and accessories. Simple to install and move around, canvas wardrobes often have a rail, a few shelf compartments and possibly a shoe rack, and if you are proud of your collection of clothes they let you show them off to the world and make a feature out of them in your bedroom. Pine panelling is probably what comes to mind when you think of a wardrobe, but there are so many other materials and styles available. Go for distressed painted wood for a shabby chic look, black or white high gloss finish to fit in with a contemporary style, or a dark wood for a classic or retro feel. You can also think about the small details such as the handles and whether you want contrasting or matching hardware.
