Do you remember that scene in Pinocchio, when our favourite lying doll is convinced by honest John to take a vacation and then placed on a stage coach on its way to Pleasure Island where other misfit kids can do smoke cigars, drink and break things without any thought of consequences but are then turned into terrifying mini donkeys, the thought of which still sometime haunts my dreams by the way. Hong Kong
Hong Kong (香港; "Fragrant Harbour"), officially Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, is an autonomous territory on the southern coast of China at the Pearl River Estuary and the South China Sea. Hong Kong is known for its skyline and deep natural harbour. It has a land area of 1104 km2 and shares its northern border with Guangdong Province of Mainland China. With around 7.2 million inhabitants of various nationalities, Hong Kong is one of the world's most densely populated metropolises.
After the First Opium War (1839–42), Hong Kong became a British colony with the perpetual cession of Hong Kong Island, followed by Kowloon Peninsula in 1860 and a 99-year lease of the New Territories from 1898. Hong Kong remained under British control for about a century until the Second World War, when Japan occupied the colony from December 1941 to August 1945. After the Surrender of Japan, the British resumed control. In the 1980s, negotiations between the United Kingdom and the China resulted in the 1984 Sino-British Joint Declaration, which provided for the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong on 30 June 1997. The territory became a special administrative region of China with a high degree of autonomy on 1 July 1997 under the principle of one country, two systems. Disputes over the perceived misapplication of this principle have contributed to popular protests, including the 2014 Umbrella Revolution.

South China
South China (simplified Chinese: 华南; traditional Chinese: 華南; pinyin: huá nán) is a geographical and cultural region that covers the southernmost part of China. Its precise meaning varies with context.
Definitions
In the broadest sense, Southern China can denote the entire portion of the country south of the line demarcated by the Qin Mountains and Huai River. Between 1945 and 1949, the Republic of China defined Guizhou, Yunnan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Fujian and Taiwan as the "Seven Provinces of South China" (simplified Chinese: 华南七省; traditional Chinese: 華南七省; pinyin: huá nán qī shěng). The term can also be used to denote the Lingnan region; but today, the phrase is generally used to refer only to Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Hong Kong and Macau (historically also known as Liangguang). Defined as such, South China is also contained within South Central China.

Plot: Eleven teenage boys find themselves suddenly alone in a post-apocalyptic world in which the only food they can find to eat is 'Skinny Wheats' crackers. Their daily searches for food and people are dangerous and not always survived, but they are hopeful that if they found some adults the adults would know what to do... until they actually find some adults and realize they're better off on their own, and they are stronger than they knew. What Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor needs to do urgently is rebuild the trust of Hong Kong people in herself and the administration. This cannot be achieved merely by formulating appropriate social or economic policies or by giving handouts to Hong Kong people.
