Der Film erzählt die Geschichte einer jungen Schauspielerin, die sich gerade auf dem Weg zu einem Casting macht. Mal wieder scheint es so, als ob es keine Aussicht auf Erfolg besteht. Auch das Drehbuch scheint eher unterdurchschnittlich zu sein. Sie findet einfach keinen Zugang zu dem Text, doch dann beginnt sie die Rolle auf ihr eigenes Leben zu projizieren.
Entstanden ist der Kurzfilm "Das Casting" während einer 72 Stunden Session auf dem Cinema Sumeet in auf den MMC Studios Köln.

A short animation made for the "Hadrian" Exhibition in the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, December 2015.
The film shows the bronze casting process in an artistic yet simple method, a combination of stop motion and 2D animation.
The preparation process included a research and a constant dialogue with the curator and the restoration department of the museum as well as a visit in a bronze casting workshop. The head used in the film was a plaster replica of the original Hadrian's bronze statue found in Tel-Shalem, Israel, 117-138 CE.

Film
A film, also called a movie, motion picture or photoplay, is a series of still images which, when shown on a screen, creates the illusion of moving images due to the phi phenomenon. Hadrian / Bronze Casting Using The Lost-Wax Technique
A short animation made for the "Hadrian" Exhibition in the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, December 2015. The film shows the bronze casting process in an artistic yet simple method, a combination of stop motion and 2D animation. The preparation process included a research and a constant dialogue with the curator and the restoration department of the museum as well as a visit in a bronze casting workshop. The head used in the film was a plaster replica of the original Hadrian's bronze statue found in Tel-Shalem, Israel, 117-138 CE. Der Film erzählt die Geschichte einer jungen Schauspielerin, die sich gerade auf dem Weg zu einem Casting macht. Mal wieder scheint es so, als ob es keine Aussicht auf Erfolg besteht. Auch das Drehbuch scheint eher unterdurchschnittlich zu sein. Sie findet einfach keinen Zugang zu dem Text, doch dann beginnt sie die Rolle auf ihr eigenes Leben zu projizieren.
Entstanden ist der Kurzfilm "Das Casting" während einer 72 Stunden Session auf dem Cinema Sumeet in auf den MMC Studios Köln.

The film shows the bronze casting process in an artistic yet simple method, a combination of stop motion and 2D animation.
The preparation process included a research and a constant dialogue with the curator and the restoration department of the museum as well as a visit in a bronze casting workshop. The head used in the film was a plaster replica of the original Hadrian's bronze statue found in Tel-Shalem, Israel, 117-138 CE.

Ben Brand’s second short film 97% is the last step towards his first feature film ‘FIND THIS DUMB LITTLE BITCH AND THROW HER INTO A RIVER’ which has been shot during the summer of 2016. The film will be released early 2017.
In the past two years 97% (the dutch submission for the oscars 2014) has been selected for more than 70 international film festivals including Aspen Shortfest, Sapporo International Short Film Festival and the Asiana International Short Film Festival, winning numerous awards on it’s way. Hadrian / Bronze Casting Using The Lost-Wax Technique
A short animation made for the "Hadrian" Exhibition in the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, December 2015. The film shows the bronze casting process in an artistic yet simple method, a combination of stop motion and 2D animation. The preparation process included a research and a constant dialogue with the curator and the restoration department of the museum as well as a visit in a bronze casting workshop. The head used in the film was a plaster replica of the original Hadrian's bronze statue found in Tel-Shalem, Israel, 117-138 CE. Auch das Drehbuch scheint eher unterdurchschnittlich zu sein. Sie findet einfach keinen Zugang zu dem Text, doch dann beginnt sie die Rolle auf ihr eigenes Leben zu projizieren.
Entstanden ist der Kurzfilm "Das Casting" während einer 72 Stunden Session auf dem Cinema Sumeet in auf den MMC Studios Köln.

The film shows the bronze casting process in an artistic yet simple method, a combination of stop motion and 2D animation.
The preparation process included a research and a constant dialogue with the curator and the restoration department of the museum as well as a visit in a bronze casting workshop. The head used in the film was a plaster replica of the original Hadrian's bronze statue found in Tel-Shalem, Israel, 117-138 CE.

Ben Brand’s second short film 97% is the last step towards his first feature film ‘FIND THIS DUMB LITTLE BITCH AND THROW HER INTO A RIVER’ which has been shot during the summer of 2016. The film will be released early 2017.
In the past two years 97% (the dutch submission for the oscars 2014) has been selected for more than 70 international film festivals including Aspen Shortfest, Sapporo International Short Film Festival and the Asiana International Short Film Festival, winning numerous awards on it’s way.
