Jonathan travels to Mexico for an up close encounter with Bull sharks, infamous for the fact that they are known to be the most dangerous species of shark to humans. He gets to try a chain mail anti-shark suit, and meets a biologist who is studying the sharks to learn more about their population and habits.

This is not our usual kids content and Gabe and Garrett did not go on this trip, this video is from my trip to Guadalupe Island (I'm their dad).
On a recent great white shark cage diving trip we experienced a very rare event, a shark breaching the side of the cage. What might appear to be an aggressive great white shark trying to attack the cage, this is not the case. These awesome sharks are biting at large chunks of tuna tied to a rope. When a great white shark lunges and bites something, it is temporarily blinded. They also cannot swim backwards. So this shark lunged at the bait, accidentally hit the side of the cage, was most likely confused and not able to swim backwards, it thrust forward and broke the metal rail of the cage. There was a single diver inside the cage. He ended up outside the bottom of the cage, looking down on two great white sharks. The diver is a very experienced dive instructor, remained calm, and when the shark thrashed back outside the cage, the diver calmly swam back up and climbed out completely uninjured. The boat crew did an outstanding job, lifting the top of the cage, analyzing the frenzied situation, and the shark was out after a few long seconds. Everyone on the boat returned to the cages the next day, realizing this was a very rare event. The boat owner, captain, and crew are to be commended for making what could've been a tragic event into a happy ending. I'm sure God and luck had a bit to do with it too!
I want to return next year for another great white shark adventure!

Update based on comments:
1. Crew knows there's a diver in the cage, it's passengers asking if anyone is in there.
2. Shark had very minor injury and is confirmed okay.
3. These tour operators work with the gov't, non-profit agencies, sanctuaries, marine biologists for the good of the sharks.
4. Cage design and bait techniques are being reviewed and changes made if necessary to ensure safety for sharks and divers.
5. 'Leave the sharks alone' got them on the endangered species list because poachers won't leave them alone.
6. No video footage from diver.

A bull shark swimming near Erich then also snatched the bait and in so doing bit directly into Erich's calf, injuring him seriously.
It should be noted that shark attacks occur not so often. Sharks Doesn't want to kill people. This is evidenced by the fact that immediately after the bite, shark let go the victim. Shark confuse people with food that hobnob in their habitat. As usually Flippers for diving resemble with flippers of seal. And The last case, ended tragically just for fish and bait. People love sharks and we just can’t seem to get enough of them. Where did it all start? Well, to be honest ever since humans have taken to the sea they have been in awe of the powerful underwater predators. In 1975, interest was again piqued thanks to the classic thriller Jaws. Today, week long television specials and ridiculous films about tornados full of sharks prove that this big fish holds a place in our hearts, imaginations and fears. There are hundreds of species of sharks all over the world. Of course, the Great White is the all-star of this fish family but there are many other types you may not be familiar with – unless you’ve seen our video on shark species you may not know existed.
So just what is it about sharks that grabs hold of our attention? Is it their killer instinct? Is it their sometimes spectacular coloring and shape? Whatever it is, these predators swim the waters of the world, from the deepest oceans to the shallowest shorelines, hunting for food. We all know they eat other fish in the water and, thanks to movies and occasional news reports, they have been known to take a bite of the odd human – but sharks apparently don’t draw the line there. Sometimes their ‘prey’ turns out to be rather unconventional. In fact, as you’ll see in the examples ahead, sharks are pretty much willing to eat almost anything they can get in their mouths.

Shark
Sharks are a group of fish characterized by a cartilaginous skeleton, five to seven gill slits on the sides of the head, and pectoral fins that are not fused to the head. Modern sharks are classified within the clade Selachimorpha (or Selachii) and are the sister group to the rays. However, the term "shark" has also been used for extinct members of the subclass Elasmobranchii outside the Selachimorpha, such as Cladoselache and Xenacanthus, as well as other Chondrichthyes such as the holocephalid eugenedontidans. Under this broader definition, the earliest known sharks date back to more than 420 million years ago.Acanthodians are often referred to as "spiny sharks"; though they are not part of Chondrichthyes proper, they are a paraphyletic assemblage leading to cartilaginous fish as a whole.
Since then, sharks have diversified into over 500 species. They range in size from the small dwarf lanternshark (Etmopterus perryi), a deep sea species of only 17 centimetres (6.7 in) in length, to the whale shark (Rhincodon typus), the largest fish in the world, which reaches approximately 12 metres (40 ft) in length. Sharks are found in all seas and are common to depths of 2,000 metres (6,600 ft). They generally do not live in freshwater although there are a few known exceptions, such as the bull shark and the river shark, which can survive and be found in both seawater and freshwater. Top Five is a 2014 American comedy film written and directed by Chris Rock. The film, which stars Rock, Rosario Dawson, and Gabrielle Union, was screened in the Special Presentations section of the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival. The movie follows New York City comedian and film star Andre Allen (Rock), who has to confront his past and comedic career while doing an interview with journalist Chelsea Brown (Dawson). The film was released on December 12, 2014, by Paramount Pictures.
Plot
New York Times reporter Chelsea Brown is spending a day interviewing comedian and recovering alcoholic Andre Allen, star of the hit film franchise Hammy The Bear, about a cop in a bear suit. He is attempting a foray into serious films with Uprize, in which he portrays Haitian Revolution figure Dutty Boukman, and sensitive to criticism, particularly by Times critic James Nielson, whose previous reviews of Andre's work have been negative and insulting. As the interview begins in his limousine, Andre recalls his lowest point, when he was in Houston in 2003 and met Jazzy Dee, who supplied him with drugs, alcohol and women. Yet after Jazzy refused to pay the women, they contended they were raped, leading to Andre's arrest.

Great White
Great White is an American hard rock band, formed in Los Angeles in 1977. The band gained popularity during the 1980s and early 1990s. The band released several albums in the late 1980s and gained airplay on MTV with music videos for songs like "Once Bitten, Twice Shy". The band reached their peak popularity with the album ...Twice Shy in 1989.
The band continued to release new material into the 1990s, although none of their material charted in the United States. In 2003, the band made headlines when The Station nightclub fire led to the deaths of 100 people in West Warwick, Rhode Island, including the band's guitarist Ty Longley, who had been a member of Jack Russell's solo band. In 2011 the band split, with Jack Russell forming "Great White Featuring Jack Russell" and lead singer Terry Ilous (of XYZ) fronting Great White. As of August 2007, Great White sold over 8 million records worldwide.

This is not our usual kids content and Gabe and Garrett did not go on this trip, this video is from my trip to Guadalupe Island (I'm their dad).
On a recent great white shark cage diving trip we experienced a very rare event, a shark breaching the side of the cage. What might appear to be an aggressive great white shark trying to attack the cage, this is not the case. These awesome sharks are biting at large chunks of tuna tied to a rope. When a great white shark lunges and bites something, it is temporarily blinded. They also cannot swim backwards. So this shark lunged at the bait, accidentally hit the side of the cage, was most likely confused and not able to swim backwards, it thrust forward and broke the metal rail of the cage. There was a single diver inside the cage. He ended up outside the bottom of the cage, looking down on two great white sharks. The diver is a very experienced dive instructor, remained calm, and when the shark thrashed back outside the cage, the diver calmly swam back up and climbed out completely uninjured. The boat crew did an outstanding job, lifting the top of the cage, analyzing the frenzied situation, and the shark was out after a few long seconds. Everyone on the boat returned to the cages the next day, realizing this was a very rare event. The boat owner, captain, and crew are to be commended for making what could've been a tragic event into a happy ending. I'm sure God and luck had a bit to do with it too!
I want to return next year for another great white shark adventure!

1. Crew knows there's a diver in the cage, it's passengers asking if anyone is in there.
2. Shark had very minor injury and is confirmed okay.
3. These tour operators work with the gov't, non-profit agencies, sanctuaries, marine biologists for the good of the sharks.
4. Cage design and bait techniques are being reviewed and changes made if necessary to ensure safety for sharks and divers.
5. 'Leave the sharks alone' got them on the endangered species list because poachers won't leave them alone.
6. No video footage from diver.

The part-time accountant's femoral artery was severed by the teeth of the 15-foot great white in shallow waters close to a river mouth where the predators gather to feed off fish. But despite this, he should be thankful for the fact that two people was walking on beach that day, spotted him, got out of the water, and gave him first aid.
Famous Dr. Erich Ritter's accident with a bull shark. The American television station "Discovery Channel" was filming Erich Ritter for the series "Shark Week" in Walker's Cay, Bahamas, as he was bitten in his calf by an adult bull shark. Erich was immediately flown to St. Mary's Medical Center in Palm Beach (Florida) where a team of specialists managed to save his leg in an operation lasting several hours. Unfortunately a remora or "shark sucker" snatched the bait and fled into the murky water, straight towards Erich. A bull shark swimming near Erich then also snatched the bait and in so doing bit directly into Erich's calf, injuring him seriously.
It should be noted that shark attacks occur not so often. Sharks Doesn't want to kill people. This is evidenced by the fact that immediately after the bite, shark let go the victim. Shark confuse people with food that hobnob in their habitat. As usually Flippers for diving resemble with flippers of seal. And The last case, ended tragically just for fish and bait. Big bull shark, showed up from muddy bay water near Myrtle Beach, and ate girl's bait with catch and spoon-bait also.

So just what is it about sharks that grabs hold of our attention? Is it their killer instinct? Is it their sometimes spectacular coloring and shape? Whatever it is, these predators swim the waters of the world, from the deepest oceans to the shallowest shorelines, hunting for food. We all know they eat other fish in the water and, thanks to movies and occasional news reports, they have been known to take a bite of the odd human – but sharks apparently don’t draw the line there. Sometimes their ‘prey’ turns out to be rather unconventional. In fact, as you’ll see in the examples ahead, sharks are pretty much willing to eat almost anything they can get in their mouths.
