At a time when immigrant and minority communities are under unprecedented attack from discrimination and racism across the UK,

At a time when the right to Free Movement of us and our European brothers and sisters is threatened as never before,

At a time when our political leaders and media are too full of hate or full of fear to speak up for us,

We refuse to be held hostage any longer to the tabloid line on immigration. With this celebration, we are taking a stand against the relentless scapegoating of immigrants for the failures of successive governments to invest in affordable housing, schools and healthcare.

Immigrants are our families, our lovers and our friends. We are not afraid to stand up against the hate all around us. Now is the time to celebrate our love more vocally than ever – our love knows no borders!
