Keep it civil. Keep it respectful.

There's no strangers here. Think of every person on the site as a friend you have in real life, and that should provide a solid foundation to guide discussion.

This is not a place for racist, sexist, anti-Semitic, homophobic, or other bigoted types of speech. Please take these opinions elsewhere (or, even better, consider changing these opinions entirely ;).

Aside from these hateful and unproductive forms of speech, Films For Action welcomes a diversity of viewpoints. Disagreement can often be a healthy catalyst for evolving and improving our own understandings, but this can only work to our benefit if the tone of these disagreements remain respectful.

We hope to use this site to foster a positive and constructive community for people that want to create a more just, compassionate, and sustainable world. 

We would like this to be a place not so much for arguing about differing points of view, but more so a place to help each other reach the common goals we share. It's a place to learn, study issues, network, share knowledge and experience, and support real-world organization and movement building.

There are more than enough sites on the internet where flame wars, partisan name-calling, personal attacks, hateful speech and close-minded arguing is the norm. This is not one of those sites.

If a user or one of our staff flags content or a comment for review, we will remove it if it violates these guidelines. Repeated flags will result in a removal of comment or content-posting privileges, or of the user's account.

Due to time constraints, we will not likely be able to issue warnings.  Our minimal staff work extremely hard at providing a fair and decent place for all users to interact, but are not able to address every individual situation. Our main priority will continue to be publishing important content on the site.

We appreciate your efforts to help us keep our site a positive, respectful place to learn, network, share and talk with others on the site.
