Apoyo a la programación en español de KPFK en esta campaña económica. Como saben sus contribuciones nos permiten continuar ofrecer una programación única, independiente y libre de intereses comerciales.

Su apoyo económico es muy importante para seguir consolidando la barra en español que se extendió a 5 horas, por lo que se ha incorporado nueva programación a favor de la comunidad, dando un paso importante para que la programación en español de KPFK siga reflejando la nueva realidad demográfica de California.

Esta noche les presentaremos las siguientes entrevistas:

a) Tras las recientes ordenes ejecutivas de migración de Trump, Organizaciones pro inmigrantes retan al gobierno, y convocan a la ciudadania a manifestarse con una "Huelga Nacional por un Día sin Inmigrantes".

b) "Noche Bohemia" convoca participación multi-cultural y multi-intrumentista de músicos locales de Los Angeles, abriendo puertas al talento, creatividad y la amistad, donde la música es el mejor invitado. El cantautor puertoriqueño, que floreció como tantante folk en la década de los 60's, Jack Landron y el músico angelino Carlos Hernández estarán en vivo en el estudio.

c) Si un día despiertas en tu cama y tu esposa no está a tu lado. ¿Qué haces? "Me estás matando Susana", película protagonizada por Gael García Bernal es una comedia romántica basada en la novela "Ciudades desiertas" de José Agustín y nos muestra que la vida no es como uno se la imagina y quiere que sea. Conversaremos con su director.

d) La Herencia musical Afroamericana toma vida este lunes en el Blu Elefant Café. Su director artístico nos dirá de que se trata y además hablaremos del impacto musical que tuvo la migración africana en Uruguay y Argentina.

e) Experto en inmigración aconseja sobre las acciones dolorosas pero efectivas que padres de familia deberian conversar y tomar con sus hijos ante las posibles deportaciones, incluyendo el efecto psicológico que la separación de los padres causa en los niños, y como afrontar esta situación; una psicóloga nos da unos consejos.

f) "Trumpilandia", los latinos bajo el mundo del nuevo inquilino de la Casa Blanca con el profesor Miguel Tinker Salas.

g) Generaciones en acción: prepara seminario para construir relaciones saludables y poderosas el 25 y 26 de marzo, les daremos los detalles.

CD: "La Presencia Negra en Latinoamérica". Una joya de los archivos de la programación en español de KPFK. Grabada en 1983, el trabajo detalla los orígenes, luchas, resistencia y asentamiento de los negros en diferentes regiones del continente americano.

CD: Paul de Castro y su orquesta Dengue con "Bueno Pa Gozar", un viaje musical con sorprendentes sonidos y colores que viajan libremente por los espacios del jazz y la música Afro Cubana.

Libro: "Talentos Ocultos". La extraordinaria historia de mujeres matemáticas afroamericanas de la NASA cuyos cálculos contribuyeron a uno de los mayores logros espaciales de Estados Unidos. El libro dio vida a la película "Hidden Figures".

“The Doctrine of Discovery unmasking The Domination Code” created by filmmaker Sheldon Wolfchild. This film focuses on a little known subject traced back to Christopher Columbus’s so-called “discovery” of the lands now commonly known as “the Americas.” The “right of discovery” was adopted and used by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1823 in the case Johnson & Graham’s Lessee v. M’Intosh. The first Christian people to discover lands inhabited by non-Christians or “heathens” had asserted the “ultimate dominion” to be in themselves. On the basis of that religiously premised argument, the Supreme Court defined the land title of the Indians as a “mere right of occupancy.” The Christian power that claimed “ultimate dominion” could grant away the soil while yet in the possession of “heathens.” And this doctrine remains the Supreme Law of the Land in the United States.
