    When it comes to reading emotional cues, dogs watch bodies (of both dogs and people) and people watch faces (of both dogs and people). Maybe why kids sometimes don't read dogs well--the dog is communicating with its body but the kid is watching its face.

    The big take-away: across several cultural settings and faiths, spiritual experiences seem to be facilitated by folk theories about the mind (particularly variable across cultures) and by personal orientations toward the mind (more variable across individuals).
