An man has died after a crash involving a car and a school bus crash in Redland Bay on Tuesday afternoon.
A police spokesman confirmed the 82-year-old driver of the sedan died at the scene of the crash which occurred after 4pm.
Six school children on the bus were assessed by paramedics at ths scene but were uninjured.
Police at the scene said the Redland Bay man failed to give way at the intersection of Cleveland Redland Bay Road and Giles Road and slammed straight into the school bus, according to Nine News.
The children from Calvary Christian School were treated for shock, but the police on scene said they escaped injury because they were wearing seatbelts.
Traffic was being redirected around Cleveland Redland Bay Road, Gordon Road and German Church Rd following the crash.
Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the incident.
