still good but being overshadowed by other services. i love netflix and its presentation and usability is excellent. but its going to get only 4 stars because it is being eclipsed by kodi and there is no longer any substantial advantage to using it. still a good service and it is well laid out but i tend more and more to use it only as a supplementary service along with kodi and i may be opting soon to simply discontinue my subscription.

Generally great. It would be nice if the post download error resumption message didn't imply I was a thief. If you're trying to download content and it fails, you get an error message. That's great. But if you try again to download it, you get a message telling you the content can only be downloaded 1 more time by ____ date. I get it, you're implying I'm hitting a suspicious limit, but maybe detect the title that didn't download and suppress that message if I'm merely trying to continue my previous attempt? Thanks. I would have sent this via the Netflix site, but there's no general feedback suggestion box area.

The Netflix service in general is worthy of 5 stars, but the app is a different story. Whenever I try to play a downloaded show on my Alcatel Idol 3 while on a plane, or elsewhere and not connected to the internet, I get the message, "Sorry, we could not reach the Netflix service. Please try again later. (-9)" The idea of a download is to watch while offline, but the app is trying to connect.

Movie wise there are lots of great films here. Would like to see a little more frequent updating and less "b" movies. Love that I can pause the PlayStation and turn on the phone and resume in seconds. As long as they prices stay the same I suppose I can accept having to pay an extra few bucks to watch out of US. Because Canadian selection is like a kick in the junk in comparison .

The Netflix app is pretty good, but there are a couple of simple features that I'd like to see implemented. The first one being a 10 second fast forward. Similar to the 30 second rewind. The other feature is to allow to read other's reviews about a specific movie or TV show. Currently you're only about to read reviews on the actual website and not on the app. It makes no sense. I'll give five stars even these get implemented. Thanks.

I love Netflix... for the most part, but as of now I am unable to download and save any of the movies and shows to my phone.. all of which is odd because when feature first came out I was able to and for some reason now I cannot. I have the latest update. I'll be happy to change my rating once this issue is resolved.

It randomly stops picking up my Chromecast and I have to uninstall and reinstall netflix for it to see my Chromecast again. That wouldn't be so bad except that apparently you're only allowed to download for offline viewing a couple times per episode or movie. So when you go back in after reinstalling to download your movie again it warns you that you can only download that title one more time. This had happened to me about 4 times.
I really rely on Netflix to bring me all the shows and movies. I was very pleased when they added the last unicorn. I love it when they add movies like that. Sadly they also remove a lot of my favorite movies. You know when you have the song of a specific movie stuck in your head. Then later you want to get home and watch that movie. Well it really sucks when you get home turn on netflix to find that movie. When BOOM your movie is gone from your watch list. I really hope Pocahontas returns soon.
I really like that new Netflix show Kong king of the apes. Especially with that new watch the episodes and it is like playing a game. I really hope that Netflix makes more shows like that! I do not know why you guys can't show information about shows in kids mode of Netflix?! It is to slow on my tablet fix mobile use! Also there is an update but I have to unintelligible it to try it also I am trying to figure it out nor at 11:31 PM February 9
Great service for streaming, but the new download system worked for about 3 days (3 or so updates ago). DLST.N3 error message every time. I have looked through other reviews with this device (Galaxy S4), and it seems that the phone is the issue. Could I get some technical feedback as to why certain phones have issues? Otherwise, great app that I have used for streaming shows and movies. Fix these problems and you'll have a great app.
I love netflix but fed up with the phone app. I have various streaming apps on my phone, and they all load in a reasonable time. For about 6 months, I've noticed my phone's netflix getting slower and slower. Now it takes 5 min just to open, another 5 to 10 to look a show up. I don't have this issue with HBO, sling tv, or freeform. Works fine on laptop, Xbox, and smart TV but I'm ready to uninstall for good from my phone.
Netflix is great except you need to put more options so that I can delete history and previously watched. I'm tired of being scrutinized by my girlfriend for what I choose to watch at night. Until you do, one star. Why have you never before thought of this!?
I mainly use the download function. I tried it on 3 different devices... On all of them video freezes for 3 to 10 seconds every minute or so (More on action scenes) simply unwatchable and extremely frustrating! Please fix this major issue. My devices are Samsung S3, Samsung S4 and RCA Viking pro Tablet.
New content is few and far between. Many movies/shows are shown over and over in categories like Netflix wants it to look like there is more content than they really have. I used to like Netflix a lot but there selections are getting old and stale! Might be time to switch to something new???
Netflix issues I don't know if this is like, a NETFLIX problem or a google problem. So, this screen about Chromecast pops up while I'm watching and it tells to insert a pin. To insert a pin, you're supposed to buy this Google Chromecast thingie. Eveb if I don't wanna buy it, IT JUST KEEPS POPPING UP! SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT'S HAPPENING?
I am also having issues now with with screen mirroring after the updates. It was working perfectly for the 2 years I had it up until recently. It's doing the same thing as other users. As soon as we try to connect to netflix it disconnects the screen mirroring . It's not our phones it's something you changed or added to the app that is causing this problem. Please check into this and fix it. You will start to lose customers if this isn't fixed.
It screws up constantly and the cast button disappears. I constantly have to reset my phone or delete the app and redownload it to get it to work correctly and I know it's not my phone because it happened on my last phone too all the time. It's also not the internet considering I have tried two different Services as well with the same problems. Get your stuff together Netflix before I cancel my membership that I have several TVs on. Evidently you don't like money because the service you provide is crap these days!
Some issues: 1. Hunting for "My List" is annoying. It should be at the top - always. 2. Bluetooth speaker/headphones support needs work. Currently, it doesn't switch to Bluetooth on my x86 tablet running 4.4.2, & as a result, the system ends up glitching out. 3. The TV series selection is nitpicked rather than including all shows from each channel like Hulu.
Running out of things to watch.... adding fresh movies more often would be great. Perhaps add a connecting with friends feature so i can recommend movies to others. Also a quick fast forward feature. And a create a playlist feature. And please please STOP SHUFFLING MY LIST!! Thanks :)
Used to be great but for a while now it no longer runs on my Samsung Galaxy Pro 12.2", which should be the perfect Netflix device. Last 2 updates fail to fix that it crashes on start - up. I reported directly but no response.
When I try to adjust volume, a notification pops up, full screen, asking me to cast to a nearby device, if I try to exit the notification it immediately reappears, if I go to my phone's home, the notification is still overlayed and even when I kill the app, Google play services feels the need to keep the notification up. Even then, if I try to exit the notification it comes right back. The only two ways to get rid of it is to successfully cast and then exit the cast or shut off my phone. I'm on a moto g4.
Netflix was already great for the amount of shows available. Now bei g able to download some and to my SD card is great. Only thing annoyingis that i sometimes have problems finding my list in the amount of options because they keep changing the order. I would also like to delete items that i started to watchbfrom the app or the roku
Not being able to read any list of shows is for me is already a bad start, but since I'm in Malaysia, that means the actual list of shows I'm able to watch is already limited. I can't waste RM500 a year waiting for a show I want to watch. Worst still, it seems the downloading option isn't working out.
I get glitches every 10 minutes. I have high speed internet. Using a Google Nexus 9. Also the interface sucks so bad. Why can't I see all movies per genre listed at once in one screen?!
I'm having the same issue as everyone else regarding this damn Google Chrome cast thing. I have no idea what that is nor am I interested in it. I just want to watch Netflix on my phone! I can't do that though because as soon as a show/movie starts, a small notification pops up asking me to enter a pin to cast to a nearby device. Wtf?? I have no idea what is going on but it's very irritating to pay monthly fees for a service I can no longer use! If this isn't fixed i'll be deleting the app and cancelling my membership.
I have been a customer since 2008. IMO just when you think this service will take a good step forward. It takes 2 steps back. The oversaturation of their own content, which is not very good overall is ridiculous. Why pay for content I will never watch. I suspended my service as like with cable you don't get what you truly pay for. So you're throwing money out the window.
So the only problem I've ever had is that whenever i lower or increase the volume, it would cast and i didn't even want to. Then the cast pin thing kept popping up occasionally, and i would mistakenly tap the cast button unintentionally. I think you should move it somewhere, maybe put all the options at the top right into a single button/menu, with the 3 dots. That would seriously help me.
I've never had an issue with Netflix until the latest app update. Whenever I adjust the volume I get a recurring notification telling me to enter a four digit PIN to chromcast to a nearby device. I went into my Google settings and turned off all chrome casting notifications but the issue seems to only come up when I adjust the volume while on Netflix. Please fix!!
Why did you get rid of like all of the good anime? All you have is the little kids anime now. Where's Attack on Titan? Death Note? Those were both there and now they're not! That's a really bad idea getting rid of them
This was a great app until you buggered it up with your updates... for a start, it now takes forever to find what I was already watching, but now you have removed the cast feature in android N. I'm not going to sit watching a movie on my phone when I have a 50" screen sat 10 feet away from me. Fix it or I'm cancelling...
Love the app, but since a recent update I'm getting a bug where the app tries to cast to a nearby device whenever I start watching a show. It isn't triggered by anything I click- it tends to happen when I change the volume using the device volume buttons. The pop up for "Cast to Nearby Devices" will ask for a PIN- but if you try to exit it or dismiss the popup, it immediately reopens itself. It continues to happen if I leave the app. The behavior will continue to loop until I restart my device, and will persist through any application I have open. On rare occasions it stops happening by itself, but will immediately resume if I play the video again.
Last update allows SD storage but now when you connect a Bluetooth headset and try watching a downloaded video, it says an error and will not play. Disconnect the Bluetooth and amazingly it will play. HELP fix this issue ASAP!! Also many times I will have videos downloaded and when I try to watch them, the app says it can not connect to the Internet. Offline with movies downloaded..........
Good. My family used to have it and now I have it for myself. It has some good stuff on it. But I wish they either added new things or brought back other things that they had taken off. Such as their anime section which recently has decreased: such as Yu-Gi-Oh (original, GX, & 5Ds), Pokemon (everything after very first season), etc. And their supernatural movies such as: Insidious trilogy, Haunting in Connecticut (1&2), etc
Ever since yesterday's update when I launch netflix it unpairs my Bluetooth headset automatically and lags horribly. My headset works fine until I launch netflix. Galaxy s5 Update: As of 2-20-17 issue is still occurring. I am not the only user affected. Reinstalling does not work. I am still unable to use netflix with Bluetooth which is 99% of the viewing. No other programs have issues. It is 100% the Netflix app that is the issue.
After this recent update I am not able to screen share anymore. As soon as I get onto Netflix is disconnects the screen sharing mode. But it is only on Netflix that it disconnects on. Since i could not screen share I thought to just watch it on my phone. I watched a good 5 minutes of the show then it started spazzing out. It locked up my whole phone talking about "Put chrome cast pin in" when I did not even click on that . I tried to turn up the volume then it went crazy. I had to restart my whole phone then as it was powering off the chrome cast thing was still on there! It nearly broke my whole phone. I see other people are having this problem. So I do not think that it is on our end. It is on THE NETFLIX END. I will no longer use Netflix until this problem is solved.
Updated the app today. Can no longer share the screen from my phone to my Roku. I can share the screen, but once I open Netflix it boots the screen share out. Works just fine up until then. It sucks cause I don't have home Internet and use the app to screen share to my Roku and watch my shows on a regular sized screen. Edit: updated to version 4.13.2 on 2/8/17. Still no fix for screen sharing. Spoke with Netflix shortly after the last update and they told me it was nothing on their end and that mirror casting is notoriously unreliable and that Netflix has nothing to do with mirror casting, it's a separate entity. I explained that I fully understand seeing as its a function of my Samsung S7 and not an option through the Netflix app and explained to THEM that, despite the fact that they don't have any hand in mirror casting, something in the update clashes with not only mine, but many users', ability to screen share and they need to look into it. I hadn't had any issues with it before the update and it works fine since with any app/function that isn't Netflix. It won't even connect to my Roku if the Netflix app is still in the background programs. I have to fully close out of it using the task manager.
Keep losing good shows from other networks, no more cooking or fixer upper shows. Really lacking in newer big box office movies. Getting tired of the hordes of European shows and few American Netflix originals. Extremely irritated with how movies start playing when I do not click play while trying to read the description, seriously what was the thought behind this? It's as annoying as a younger sibling. Costs more than Amazon Prime and Hulu....
I AM SO SAD! I was SO ready to watch Courage The Cowardly Dog after not seeing it for years because I learned it was on Netflix. I GET ALL COMFORTABLE AND PREPARED AND SIGN IN AND BAM! NO COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG. GONE. NOT THERE. I'm so incredibly sad. Please bring Courage The Cowardly Dog back. I would love it so much. 😢
No longer loading correctly on my phone or tablet. On the tablet, I can get into the app, but many images do not load and all doesn't really work. On my phone, I can't get past the splash screen. It tries to load and eventually times out, saying it can't connect to Netflix right now. Works fine on my PC, so I know it's not my internet connection. App worked great until a event update.
NEEDS more selections for the 90's and early 2000's. I tried looking up a movie and it wasn't on there and I really wanted to watch it. 😒 (It was called, The Backup Plan) the sound on the movie wasn't right and picture quality sucked.
