Maximising your American Express membership to earn more Membership Rewards Points on everyday purchases makes a lot of sense. Depending on the Card you hold, Card Members can earn up to 3 points for every dollar spent at major supermarkets and selected restaurants, 2 Points per dollar on travel and major petrol stations and 1 Point per $1 spent practically everywhere else. You'll even earn 0.5 Points per $1 spent on utilities, insurance, telecommunications and government bodies.

Terms and Conditions
1. You can redeem points for prepaid travel of a nominated value through American Express Travel Online with the point-of-purchase redemption capability. Travel bookings using points may be booked for any person, provided all your accounts are kept in good standing and are not overdue. Points cannot be used for Cruise Privileges bookings. All travel bookings are subject to availability. Subject to the American Express Travel Online standard booking terms and conditions.
2. This is available to primary Card Members enrolled in the Ascent, Business Ascent, Spirit, Ascent Premium and Gateway Membership Rewards program. Qantas Frequent Flyer is only available as partner in Business Ascent and Ascent Premium program. Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is not available as an Airline Transfer Partner in Gateway program. To redeem points, you must be a member of the applicable frequent traveller program. Enrolment in the partner program is solely your responsibility and fees may apply. Points transferred to Airline Transfer Partner are not reversible and is subject to the terms and conditions of the partner programs. The minimum requirement and transfer rate varies. Subject to the Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions.
3. A minimum of 7,500 points must be redeemed at any one time. You can redeem points for prepaid travel of a nominated value through Webjet.com.au and helloworld with the point-of-purchase redemption capability.
