Two federal agents operating under the umbrella of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are claiming that eight Syrian illegal aliens attempted to enter Texas from Mexico in the Laredo Sector. The federal agents spoke with Breitbart Texas on the condition of anonymity, however, a local president of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) confirmed that Laredo Border Patrol agents have been officially contacting the organization with concerns over reports from other federal agents about Syrians illegally entering the country in the Laredo Sector. The reports have caused a stir among the sector’s Border Patrol agents.

Laredo, Texas
Laredo (/ləˈreɪdoʊ/ lə-RAY-doh; Spanish: [laˈɾeðo]) is the county seat of Webb County, Texas, United States, located on the north bank of the Rio Grande in South Texas, across from Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. According to the 2010 census, the city population was 236,191, making it the tenth-most populous city in the state of Texas and third-most populated on the Mexican border, after San Diego, California and El Paso, Texas. Its metropolitan area is the 178th-largest in the US and includes all of Webb county, with a population of 250,304. Laredo is also part of the cross-border Laredo-Nuevo Laredo Metropolitan Area with an estimated population of 636,516.
Laredo's economy is based on international trade with Mexico. Most major transportation companies have a facility in Laredo. The city's location on the southern end of I-35 close to the manufacturers in northern Mexico promotes its vital role in trade between the two nations. Laredo International Airport is within the Laredo city limits, while the Quetzalcoatl International Airport is nearby in Nuevo Laredo on the Mexican side.

Laredo , city (1990 pop. 122,899), seat of Webb co., S Tex., on the Rio Grande; founded 1755, inc. 1852. It is a port of entry on the U.S.-Mexican border, with a thriving export-import trade and a tourist industry. During the late 20th cent., Laredo became one of the fastest growing U.S. cities. It is a wholesale and retail center for a large area on both sides of the Rio Grande. Important to its economy are cattle ranching, irrigated farming, oil production, and mining and smelting. A wide variety of products are manufactured, including clothing, military supplies, candles, steel products, and leather goods. Laredo has close economic ties with its large sister city in Mexico—Nuevo Laredo—with which it is linked by two international bridges.
Laredo, a blend of Spanish, Mexican, and American frontier influences, grew as a post on the road to San Antonio and other Texas cities. After the Texas Revolution its ownership remained in doubt until the southern boundary of Texas was established by the Mexican War; during that period the city was the capital of the "Republic of the Rio Grande" (the capitol building, erected in 1755, still stands). Laredo's growth was aided by the arrival of the railroads (1880s), the development of irrigated farming, the discovery of oil and natural gas, and the opening (1936) of a highway to Mexico City. The former army post Fort McIntosh was founded in 1849 and intermittently rebuilt and used until 1946; Texas A&M; International Univ. is now on the grounds. Laredo Community College is also there. The Health Care and Social Assistance industry includes establishments and services such as:
hospitals, nursing and residential care facilities and out-patient care centres; offices of health practitioners (i.e. dentists, doctors, optometrists and chiropractors); medical and diagnostic laboratories; home health care services; ambulance services; social assistance services (i.e. for children, youth, the elderly, families); community food, housing, emergency and relief services; vocational rehabilitation services; and daycare services Type 1 diabetes (Juvenile Diabetes) is usually diagnosed in children and young adults, and was previously known as juvenile diabetes. Only 5% of people with diabetes have this form of the disease.
In type 1 diabetes, the body does not produce insulin. The body breaks down the sugars and starches you eat into a simple sugar called glucose, which it uses for energy. Insulin is a hormone that the body needs to get glucose from the bloodstream into the cells of the body. With the help of insulin therapy and other treatments, even young children can learn to manage their condition and live long, healthy lives.
18.2 million people in the United States (6.3 percent of the population) have been diagnosed with diabetes. 5 to 10 percent of all people with diabetes have Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Taco Palenque Impromptu Mariachi Performance
Our cast from Shrek the Musical was hungry so we went out to eat at Taco Palenque in Laredo, TX. A local Mariachi band was performing for the lovely guests and my two good friends and cast mates Ricky Holguin and Elizabeth Sosa asked if they could sing a Mariachi Ballod just for fun. This was the outcome. They did a beautiful job.

Mr. RUDYTEJANO PEÑA was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. After completing a successful twenty-five year military career, he retired from the United States Navy. Today he is a devoted and dedicated advocate for the acknowledgement and recognition of UNITED STATES Tejano / Texan distinguished identity, culture and heritage. Currently, legions of original Tejano descendants reside in Texas. Descendants of Tejanos may also be found in the United States and around the globe. Historically, Untied States born Tejanos may be descendants of early European settlers and indigenous people, who populated the territory during the early 1600’s. Theoretically, it’s from combinations of these early Tejas diverse cultures, Tejanos and Tejanas emerged, evolved and developed. Traditionally, combinations of Spaniards and local Indigenous people are the most prevalent. It’s not unusual to find other European influence in the fancy Tejano appearance of beautiful women and handsome men. The distinctive features of these cultural combinations, in many cases attribute to the classic Texas born Tejano appearance. The other major influence has been from Mexico and the United States. While historians, educators and societies in general have acknowledged and recognized Latinos, Mexican, Hispanics, Mexican-Americans and Chicanos, somehow they have completely ignored and excluded the existence and identity of United States Texas born Tejanos. Mr. Pena is currently one of very few United States born Tejano citizens relating Tejas / Texas historical references and events from a Tejano /Texan perspective, rather than from an Hispanic, Mexican-Texan, Latino, Mexican, Chicano, Mexican-American or persons of non-Hispanic origin point of view. He emphasizes significant, pertinent Tejas / Texas historical accounts, events and references, demonstrating participation and actual involvement of original Tejanos.
Mr. Peña invites the entire world to re-discover the truth and give credit to all deserving Tejano and Tejana pioneers. He welcomes and encourages all others who have similar origins and views to support his noble efforts and cause. A local Mariachi band was performing for the lovely guests and my two good friends and cast mates Ricky Holguin and Elizabeth Sosa asked if they could sing a Mariachi Ballod just for fun. This was the outcome. They did a beautiful job.

This management hunt is basically a "cull hunt", but don't let that fool you. You will be hunting for a mature whitetail that are 4.5 years old or more with some bucks up to 150″ B&C;. Ricardo Vazquez De Lara is a student at The University of Texas at Austin. He is currently a senior at the Red McCombs School of Business and is in the integrated Master in Professional Accounting (iMPA) program. Known to his friends as Ricky, he was born and raised in Puebla, Mexico until his dad got a job as a pilot in Laredo during the summer of 1998. The great majority of Ricky's childhood in addition to his entire grade school years were spent in Laredo, where he was a part of the United High School Engineering and Technology Magnet program. The great majority of Ricky's childhood in addition to his entire grade school years were spent in Laredo, where he was a part of the United High School Engineering and Technology Magnet program. He graduated tenth in his class during May of 2010 and moved to Austin to begin his college education as an accounting major.
Early on in his college career, he became involved in the local UT Student Chapter of a national organization known as ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting). Thanks to this organization, Ricky has been able to network with various professionals, develop his leadership skills, obtain internships with two of the "Big 4" public accounting firms, and, in October of 2011, was awarded the Jorge A. Caballero Student Leader of the Year Award.
Having developed a deep passion and sincere gratitude for ALFPA and its mission, Ricky served as president of the organization during his sophomore year at UT. In addition, during his time as president, the UT ALPFA Student Chapter was awarded the 2012 Student Chapter of the Year Award for the central region. Ricky now sits on the Austin ALPFA Professional Chapter Board of Directors as Director at Large, where he helps connect students with professionals for both networking and professional development opportunities.
Ricky has served as a Student Fellow for a UT organization known as Project MALES since 2012. As a student fellow, he mentors local at-risk high school students who have a statistically high probability of dropping out of high school or not continuing on to higher education post-graduation. Ricky works closely with those students to serve as a positive role model while encouraging their academic success and pursuit of goals in life.
In addition to these organizations, Ricky is also involved at the University Catholic Center on campus within the International Schoenstatt Movement. His personal interests include sightseeing, building puzzles, spending time with his friends, and meeting new people. He is known by his peers as being "outgoing and genuine," while having a "charismatic personality" and a "fun sense of humor."
Ricky plans on getting his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license to start his career as a tax accountant upon graduation while still living out his adopted personal motto, "lift as you climb."
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
