Mask

A mask is an object normally worn on the face, typically for protection, disguise, performance, or entertainment. Masks have been used since antiquity for both ceremonial and practical purposes. They are usually worn on the face, although they may also be positioned for effect elsewhere on the wearer's body. In parts of Australia, giant totem masks cover the body, whilst Inuit women use finger masks during storytelling and dancing.

Etymology

The word "mask" appeared in English in the 1530s, from Middle French masque "covering to hide or guard the face", derived in turn from Italian maschera, from Medieval Latin masca "mask, specter, nightmare". This word is of uncertain origin, perhaps from Arabic maskharah مَسْخَرَۃٌ "buffoon", from the verb sakhira "to ridicule". However, it may also come from Provençal mascarar "to black (the face)" (or the related Catalan mascarar, Old French mascurer). This in turn is of uncertain origin — perhaps from a Germanic source akin to English "mesh", but perhaps from mask- "black", a borrowing from a pre-Indo-European language. One German author claims the word "mask" is originally derived from the Spanish más que la cara (literally, "more than the face" or "added face"), which evolved to "máscara", while the Arabic "maskharat" - referring to the buffoonery which is possible only by disguising the face - would be based on these Spanish roots. Other related forms are Hebrew masecha= "mask"; Arabic maskhara مَسْخَرَ = "he ridiculed, he mocked", masakha مَسَخَ = "he transfomed" (transitive).

Mark Ronson

Mark Daniel Ronson (born 4 September 1975) is an English musician, DJ, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Although his debut album Here Comes the Fuzz failed to make an impact on the charts, his second album Version reached number two in the UK and included three top 10 singles. This success won him a Brit Award for Best British Male Solo Artist in 2008. His third studio album, Record Collection, was released on 27 September 2010, peaking at number two in the UK.

In 2014, Ronson achieved his first UK and US number one single with the Grammy-nominated "Uptown Funk," which featured vocals from Bruno Mars. In 2015 it won Ronson the Brit Award for British Single of the Year. His fourth studio album, the Grammy-nominated Uptown Special, was released in January 2015, and became his first UK number one album. Ronson has also produced multi-platinum, Grammy-winning albums for Amy Winehouse and Adele.

Early life

Ronson was born at the Wellington Hospital, St John's Wood, London, the son of Laurence Ronson, a real-estate speculator and music manager, and Anne Dexter. His parents are both Ashkenazi Jews (their ancestors being Jewish immigrants from Austria, Russia, and Lithuania); Ronson was brought up in Masorti Judaism and had a Bar Mitzvah. The family name was originally "Aaronson," but was shortened by Mark's grandfather Henry. He is the nephew of Gerald Ronson. Through his mother, he is also related to British Conservative politicians Sir Malcolm Rifkind and Leon Lord Brittan, as well as Odeon Cinemas founder Oscar Deutsch. He is not related to the late English guitarist Mick Ronson, who coincidentally fathered a son named Mark in 1975.

This is an Easy DIY Hair Mask treatment that is a big part of my hair care routine. This is great for shine, moisture, fighting frizz, dry hair, split ends, and growing your hair longer! You guys have asked a lot for a do it yourself hair treatment, so here you go! I'm not one for rubbing egg whites and avocado all over my hair, but I do love a good oil treatment! You can use your hair dryer to make this a hot oil treatment, or sleep on it for overnight results. I saw a difference the first time I did this, but I think after a few treatments you should really see results! Sorry for being MIA, I was under the weather and in bed all week last week. Also, a big thank you to everyone who commented on my last video! I'm still reading through all of them, but just know that they mean the world to me!! FAQ: -I just washed it out but my hair still feels oily? ----You just didn't wash the oil out thoroughly. The oiliness you feel will go away after your next shower. Maybe next time shampoo more when you wash the oil out so you have no oily residue! -What if I have Oily Hair? ---If your scalp is already producing plenty of oil, you don't need to put this mask near your roots. It can still benefit the middle and ends of your hair! That area probably is not getting the oil from your scalp, and may be dried out if you're using harsher shampoos to cope with the oiliness. -Can I do this treatment on dirty hair? ---If it's just a day or two since your shower, yes, no problem! If you like to go 4 to 5 days, it'll depend on whether you're adding more product to your hair each day. If you don't use a lot of product, doing this treatment on dirty hair will work just fine! If you are a product junkie (like me ;) ) the products on your hair may keep it from absorbing the oil as much as it could. You could shampoo your hair, towel dry it, then do this treatment. I have teamed up with Ronnie Shalvis of Ronnie Street Stunts Channel to Make this mask and video. It will be part of his full costume for an Iron Fist Live action video he will be doing. Depending on your skill level you can probably make this in less than 8 hours. It will be perfect for any Marvel Iron Fist Cosplay, or even to wear while you binge watch the show on Netflix :) The materials are easy to work with, takes minimal tools, and can be done in your apartment or a small space as you can see in the video :) You don't need a special prop shop, leather working skills, or a 3D printer to build it and it is stronger and more water resistant than paper, cardboard or other materials. I have used this clay on my face 3 or 4 times & every time I used it, my skin would itch a little but I would be fine once I rinsed it off. Well after recording, my skin reacted differently for some reason. I rinsed the clay mask off and used a toner to make sure everything was off my face (using a toner is apart of my everyday routine) & my skin around my cheekbones began to sting a little. I was not in pain but the feeling was uncomfortable. I also noticed that I had a few itty bitty bumps appear on a small area on my forehead and cheekbones due to this mask. My skin is fine its just I have never reacted to this mask this way and I doubt that I will be doing it again. I have acne prone skin so i should have known better but I like trying new things especially if its organic. I am not being sponsored for this product.
