Keira Maguire warned to 'grow up' as I'm a Celebrity camp mates tire of her antics

After being branded the "villain" on last year's The Bachelor Australia, you'd think Keira Maguire would bring a fresh attitude to the South African jungle.

But just days after entering the I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! camp as a surprise intruder, the 30-year-old has stunned her camp mates with her childish tears and tantrums.

I'm A Celebrity: Keira's epic meltdown

Keira Maguire has a moment which host Chris Brown later described as "competing against Chernobyl for the title of the Most Epic Meltdown Ever”.

So is she the most unpopular contestant in the show's history? Quite possibly.

Less than a week after entering the jungle, camp residents Steve Price, Dane Swan, Ash Pollard and Jay Laga'aia have all cautioned Maguire about her dramatic behaviour.

Even unflappable hosts Chris Brown and Julia Morris were left shaking their heads at Maguire's antics during her first trial.

It's not much of a change from her run on last year's The Bachelor where she was branded a bully for her catty comments including labelling another contestant a "peasant".

During her first challenge with retired AFL footballer Dane Swan, Maguire sobbed and claimed she was "dying" after getting chilli residue on her face. Never mind the fact Swan was covered in ant bites.

"I can't believe you did that to me," she sobbed to anyone who would listen. "You don't know how this feels right now," she told Chris Brown, as he tried in vain to comfort her. "No one even cared!"

On Sunday's episode, Maguire's popularity continued to tumble after a run-in with shock jock Steve Price in which she called him a "disrespectful arsehole" for asking her to wash the camp's dishes.

Maguire told Price she'd done enough around the camp, fetching water and fire wood, and refused to do the dishes as she'd just had a shower.

"Seriously you don't rule me, okay," she told the unimpressed 62-year-old. "Seriously, the conversation is over."

"I just spent an hour and a half over a hot fire full of oil to feed your face," Price blustered. "If you're not prepared to do the dishes, don't eat."

"Don't tell me what to do!" yelled Maguire. "What do you want from me? I've just had a shower. Leave me alone. Stop talking. Stop talking to me please. Don't tell me what to do, you don't own me."

As Maguire sobbed in her bed, My Kitchen Rules contestant Ash Pollard's disbelieving smirk said it all.

The blow up came just hours after actor Jay Laga'aia  warned Maguire to "act her age", pulling her aside on the way back to camp after she swiftly forfeited her second challenge.

"You've got to participate," he cautioned her. "You've got to participate in this stuff. If you want to give up, that's fine, alright, but you've also got to grow up. You've got to act your age."

"What do you mean?" Maguire said before walking off in tears.

"You are 30 years old. All I'm saying is that you have to play as a team. You gave up before the test."

Former model Tziporah Malkah seemed to empathise with Maguire, telling Laga'aia Maguire was a strong woman, but it appeared Maguire's camp mates were already done with her.

Her third day on the show ended with an argument over cosmetic lip fillers as Maguire clashed with fellow alpha female Pollard.

Maguire asked Pollard if she'd had her lips done, revealing she'd had the procedure herself. When Maguire said her cosmetic surgery wasn't obvious, Pollard mocked her.

"You practically have a speech impediment, they're so big," she said.

"That's really rude. You're actually being offensive," said Maguire. "You know what Ashley..."

"Did you just say Ashley?"

"Whatever the hell your name is," said Maguire, shuffling her tarot cards. "I don't really care right now. You're being offensive. I just think you need to approach situations differently."

The former Bachelor hopeful later accused Pollard of being "insecure" about her. "I'm a threat to her, I guess. Look at us, totally different personalities. Devil Ash, angel Keira."

Surprisingly, Maguire survived elimination, with Laga'aia becoming the second contestant to be sent home after US sitcom star Tom Arnold.

After lasting a lot longer than she should have on The Bachelor, you can bet Network 10 producers will be giving Maguire plenty more airtime before she is swiftly put on the next plane back home.
