Highlights from Twitter

Highlights (available on Twitter for iOS and Android) notifies you about the most interesting content from Twitter, tailored just for you. Your Highlights are based on a number of different factors, including but not limited to:

  • Conversations among people you follow
  • Popular Tweets from accounts in your network
  • Trends, news, and personalized topics

How do I get Highlights on Twitter for iOS?

  1. From the Me tab, tap on the gear icon 
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Tap Mobile Notifications.
  5. Next to Highlights, drag the slider to turn the feature on.

You'll receive push notifications when your Highlights are available. Slide the notification to open your Twitter app and view your Highlights timeline.

Note: Highlights is available for people who use iOS on versions 6.61 or higher.

How do I get Highlights on Twitter for Android?

  1. In the top menu, you will either see a navigation menu icon  or your profile icon. Tap whichever icon you have and then tap Settings.
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Tap Mobile notifications.
  4. Check the box next to Highlights.

You'll receive push notifications when your Highlights are ready. Tap the notification to open your Twitter app and view your Highlights displayed in full screen mode. Swipe left to navigate through your Highlights.

To access Highlights while in your Twitter for Android app: Tap the navigation menu icon  or your profile icon, then tap Highlights.

Note: Highlights is available for Android users on version 5.55 or higher. For the best Highlights experience, we recommend version 5.73 or higher.
