Marija has been covering federal politics since 2014 after moving to Canberra from her home city of Adelaide.

She has worked for Channel Seven and the ABC during her almost decade long career in journalism.

She was born in Serbia and her parents migrated to Australia when she was just six months old.

She speaks Serbian and Italian, after completing part of her university degree in Milan, Italy.
