Sid Vicious, born John Simon Ritchie, later named John Beverley (10 May 1957 – 2 February 1979), was an English bass guitarist, drummer and vocalist, most famous as a member of the influential punk rock band the Sex Pistols, and notorious for his arrest for the alleged murder of his girlfriend, Nancy Spungen.
Vicious joined the Sex Pistols in early 1977 to replace Glen Matlock, who had fallen out of favour with the rest of the group. Due to intravenous drug use, Vicious was hospitalized with hepatitis during the recording of the band's only studio album Never Mind the Bollocks. Accordingly, his bass is only partially featured on one song from the album. Vicious would later appear as a lead vocalist, performing three cover songs, on the soundtrack to The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle, a largely fictionalized documentary about the Sex Pistols, produced by the group's former manager Malcolm McLaren and directed by Julien Temple.
During the Sex Pistols' brief, chaotic ascendancy, Vicious met eventual girlfriend and manager Nancy Spungen, and the pair entered a destructive codependent relationship based on drug use. This culminated in Spungen's death from an apparent stab wound while staying in New York City's Hotel Chelsea with Vicious. Under suspicion of having committed Spungen's murder, Vicious was released on bail; he was later arrested again for assaulting Todd Smith, brother of Patti Smith, at a night club, and underwent drug rehabilitation on Rikers Island. In celebration of Vicious' release from prison, his mother hosted a party for him at his girlfriend's residence in Greenwich Village, which was attended notably by the Misfits bassist Jerry Only. Vicious' mother had been supplying him with drugs and paraphernalia since he was young; late that night she assisted him in procuring heroin, and he died in his sleep after overdosing on it.
Edward Raymond "Eddie" Cochran (October 3, 1938 – April 17, 1960) was an American musician. Cochran's rockabilly songs, such as "C'mon Everybody", "Somethin' Else", and "Summertime Blues", captured teenage frustration and desire in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He experimented with multitrack recording and overdubbing even on his earliest singles, and was also able to play piano, bass and drums. His image as a sharply dressed and good-looking young man with a rebellious attitude epitomized the stance of the 50s rocker, and in death he achieved an iconic status.
Cochran was born in Minnesota and moved with his family to California in the early 1950s. He was involved with music from an early age, playing in the school band and teaching himself to play blues guitar. In 1955, he formed a duet with the guitarist Hank Cochran (no relation), and when they split the following year, Eddie began a song-writing career with Jerry Capehart. His first success came when he performed the song "Twenty Flight Rock" in the film The Girl Can't Help It, starring Jayne Mansfield. Soon afterwards, Liberty Records signed him to a recording contract.
Keith Richards (born 18 December 1943) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, actor, and one of the original members of the rock band The Rolling Stones. Rolling Stone Magazine credited Richards for "rock's greatest single body of riffs" on guitar and ranked him 4th on its list of 100 best guitarists. Fourteen songs that Richards wrote with the Rolling Stones' lead vocalist Mick Jagger are listed among Rolling Stone magazine's "500 Greatest Songs of All Time". The Stones are generally known for their guitar interplay of rhythm and lead ("weaving") with Brian Jones, Mick Taylor and Ronnie Wood over the years. In spite of this, Richards plays the only guitar tracks on some of their most famous songs including "Paint It Black", "Ruby Tuesday", "Sympathy for the Devil", and "Gimme Shelter".
Richards was born 18 December 1943 at Livingston Hospital, in Dartford, Kent, England. He is the only child of Doris M L (née Dupree) and Herbert W Richards. His father was a factory worker who was injured in World War II during the Normandy invasion.

Web: bbc.co.uk/5live Twitter: @bbc5live Facebook: facebook.com/5live The former Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon says he feels "guilty" for introducing the late Sid Vicious to the band. Lydon said that Vicious, who died aged 21 in 1979 from a heroin overdose, was unable to deal with the pressure of fame and drugs that came with being in a band. Lydon and the other band members had already been together a year by this point, and were "better prepared". "He [Vicious] was ill-equipped mentally to deal with the pressures," Lydon said. "He just totally got sucked up into it. I tell you, fame is a monster." This clip is originally from Afternoon Edition on Thursday 9 October 2014

This is the entire one hour episode of: Sid Vicious, Nancy Spungen, Stiv Bators (of The Dead Boys) and Cynthia (of The B Girls) appearing on Efrom Allen's Underground TV show. Two weeks after this was shot Nancy was killed in the Chelsea Hotel and Sid was wrongly arrested for the murder. After detoxing in jail, Sid was released two weeks later and promptly OD'd when he did his "usual"dose of smack. Several months later Stiv was hit by a car in London and died the following day. R.I.P to all, my friends. Originally shown on Manhattan Cable's public access channel in the 1970s. Copyright Worldwide Television Enterprises, all rights reserved.

Johnny Rotten gives a guided tour of London, circa 2009. Full of his usual face-gurning, straightforward honesty and acerbic wit, Mr. Rotten explains his love of London is more to do with its people than the city itself. He also expresses his concern that London, like the the rest of the country is slowly doomed.

i want something else 2x
i'm a man
i love my drink
i like the girls
i've walked these streets
but i need a break, some new town
cause the way it tastes
it is going down (i say)
(chorus)
i want something else
i love the stuff
it's never enough
i want something else
you know what i need
just give it to me please
losing control, i'm about to explode tonight
i got a girl
she's tired of this city
she wants to go where
she feels pretty (yes)
she wants a new mind
sexy all the time
in the middle of the dinner
she whispers in my ear (says)
(chorus)
i want something else
i love the stuff
it's never enough
i want something else
you know what i need
just give it to me please
i'm losing control, i'm about to explode tonight
i need to know 8x
it's never enough 8x
(chorus 2x)
i want something else
i love the stuff
it's never enough
i want something else
you know what i need
just give it to me please
