The Northern Territory (NT) is striving to lay the foundations of what is likely to be the biggest period of growth in the Territory’s history.

We are building an economy that will attract people from all over the world and make us the envy of the region. Growth is how we pay for the good life, by being prosperous and productive. We need a strong economy if we are to take responsibility for ourselves, grow our regions, educate our kids, reduce welfare and provide social services. It is an investments in our children’s future that will mean jobs, new business opportunities and economic security.

We need bold, innovative action now to build tomorrow’s Territory and the NT has its own Northern Australia Development agenda which includes the whole of the NT to ensure that economic growth in the north is through “the right kind” of development. We have to protect our beautiful environment and great lifestyle and the development must be well-managed and sustainable. Show less
