The world is still reeling from the loss of one its greatest icons, but the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra will be making that loss a little easier to bear with their tribute to David Bowie, Nothing has Changed. Australian artists including Deborah Conway, Tim Rogers and Steve Kilbey will be lending their creativity to this symphonic homage, with performances of Bowie’s greatest hits including Rebel Rebel, Let’s Dance and Starman, to name a few.

THE DIVINE QUARTERS NIGHT MARKET, Friday 11 November (Maylands)
Maiden Markets will be hosting their second adults only night market this Friday, so call the babysitter quick smart. The Divine Quarters in Maylands will have international cuisines on offer from various stalls, as well as belly dancers, henna tattoo artists and a palm reader. The event is licensed, so leave the car at home and take public transport. It begins at 6pm and runs until 9pm, with free entry, but bring cash for the stalls.

SPRING DAY AT THE RACES, Saturday 12 November (Ascot)
If you couldn’t sneak away from work for the Melbourne Cup, here is your opportunity to get in on the action. The Ascot Racecourse will again host a Spring Day at the Races with all the fanfare that goes with it, including Fashion on the Fields, canape and beverage packages and trackside access. Grab your fascinator and a group of your nearest and dearest for a fun day out, with all funds raised on the day donated to Western Australians suffering from breast cancer.

THE VENGABOYS, Saturday 12 November (Northbridge)
We like, we like to party! Now is your chance to jump on the Venga Bus and reminisce all the way back to the 90s, when Euro-pop was life. Crazy outfits and non-stop energy will have you out of your seat all night, dancing along to hits including Boom Boom Boom and We’re Going to Ibiza. THE JOHN HUGHES BIG WALK, Sunday 13 November (Burswood)
The John Hughes Big Walk is back again this year raising much needed funds for the Rotary Club and the Perth Children’s Hospital. 6km, 11km and 15km walks will be taking place in Burswood Park this Sunday, all of which are suitable for a variety of ages and abilities. Bathrooms and water stations will be found along the way, but don’t forget to bring plenty of sunscreen and wear a hat.
