Here you’ll get to learn the fundamentals of cronut-making, from the dough, shaping and proving to fillings, glazes and toppings. WA YOUTH JAZZ ORCHESTRA PRESENTS: JOHANNES LUEBBERS, Thursday 27 October (Perth)

Johannes Leubbers is an award-winning composer and he’s come up with a set of invigorating contemporary pieces for the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra to play. So if your week’s starting to feel a little routine, then why not jazz things up with this stunning musical ensemble? The orchestra features only the crème de la crème of Australia’s young musicians, so you know this concert will give you real bang for your buck. RUN FOR IT!, Saturday 29 October (Joondalup)

Are you feeling particularly spooky this Halloween? Do you think you can outrun all manner of ghouls and monsters? Then head down to the ECU Joondalup Campus this Saturday evening to participate in the first Run For It! 5km fun run. Raising much needed funds for melanoma research, Edith Cowan University will be hosting the Creepy Campus event for those aged 13 and over (under 15s must have an adult accompaniment). Run for your life and register now; the children’s event sold out weeks ago!

A TALK BY BEV & JOHN LOWE - MANNA: HELP FOR THE HOMELESS, Tuesday 1 November (Peppermint Grove)

What started out as a pure act of kindness by Bev and John Lowe has grown into one of Australia’s largest homeless aid welfare groups, Manna. In this talk, Bev and John share their gratitude for Manna’s volunteers, their personal journey as humanitarians and reveal what gives them the drive to pour out their heart and soul into helping the needy each day. So if you’re looking for a meaningful way to spend your Tuesday morning, this is the place to be.
