Lassana Fané (born November 11, 1987 in Bamako, Mali) is a Malian football player who is currently playing for Saudi Professional League side Al-Batin.

Career[edit]

He began his career in the youth of Djoliba AC and was for the season 2006 promoted to the senior team. After a big third season with Djoliba AC was on 14 January 2009 sold to Al-Merreikh.[1] He is good in long shooting distances and very good in passing. The defender left the Sudanese Premier League club Al-Merreikh and joined in December 2010 to Al-Ahly (Tripoli).[2] In June 2011 Fané Joined Kuwaiti Premier League side Al Kuwait.[3]

International career[edit]

Fané is member of the Mali national football team[4] and played the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.[5] He played formerly for his country the Tournoi de l'UEMOA 2008 in Bamako[6] His last game for Mali was against Malawi in which Mali won 3-1. The game was played on 18 January 2010 and was at the 2010 AFCON.
