Extra dates added to the Monkees 50th Anniversary Tour.
Monkee-Mania has exploded in Australia, with extra shows added to The Monkees 50th Anniversary Tour!
A second Sydney show has been added at The Enmore Theatre on Thursday December 15. Gold Coast fans will also get the opportunity to see The Monkees live at Jupiter's Theatre on Friday December 16.
The Monkees started out as a 1965 television series focused on an unsuccessful imaginary rock group aiming to be The Beatles. By the time the series had been cancelled in 1968, the show's stars Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, Tork and the late Davy Jones had evolved into a bonafide rock band. In 1967, The Monkees sold more records than The Beatles and the Rolling Stones combined.
Along with the 75 million-plus records sold worldwide and a slew of hits, including "I'm a Believer," "Pleasant Valley Sunday" and "Daydream Believer," The Monkees are remembered as charismatic characters with some infectious pop hits that will stay in our hearts forever.
