Kelvin's enthusiasm for the best possible outcome and obvious professionalism was very reassuring. I had a direct line to Kelvin during the whole renovation and he always had time to discuss any ideas or concerns I may have had. In fact we had several meetings both in person and via phone to discuss various aspects of the project. This communication could not have better and was very important to me. What impressed me most about the service provided were the excellent design solutions that Kelvin suggested. I would never have come up with these solutions and I am very happy with them. Kelvin was here the whole day the stone bench was being installed to ensure all went smoothly. Since the project has been completed Kelvin has rang to make sure I am happy with the kitchen and he intends to call to check for any final tweaks. I am sure any future clients will receive 'value for money' which is second to none as I believe I have. Jennifer, Springwood, Qld.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
1. During the initial meeting, the quality and cost difference between different cabinetry boards will be discussed to best match the design brief and project budget. 2. I will discuss the required benchtop size and how this size will have an impact on the slab size ordered from suppliers. This can have a dramatic effect on the quote. Different options will be discussed to make it as cost effective as possible without compromising on the design and quality. 3. Any exiting cabinetry and tiles that that has to be removed prior to the installation, can be removed by the client to save money. We can, of course, do this work for you.
-
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
A meeting will be scheduled with you, at a time and location that suit you best, to discuss the design brief and project budget. Once this information is recorded, the preliminary design and quote are completed. 3D designs are always included in the quote to provide a better understanding of how the design will improve the current space.
-
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
Any work exceeding $3,300 will have a 6 year and 6 month cover through QBCC by law. We do stand by our products and only use the best quality. Stone benchtops usually has a 14 year warranty, however it does depend on which company you choose to use.
-
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
Clear communication and a good relationship are the key to any renovation. We spend as much time as required to understand what you would like before we finalise the design and quote. The quote will be reviewed with you to make sure they understand what is included and to avoid any communication gaps once the installation begins.
-
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
Q: How much does it cost to renovate a kitchen? A: All our kitchens are designed according to the clients brief which make it impossible to provide a rough estimate of how much a kitchen renovation will cost. The cost can range from $6,500 to $60,000.
-
What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?
It is important to ask in which area the company specialise in because all companies, in the end, specialise in a particular field. A ‘Jack of all trades’ is definitely a red flag.

What do you like most about your job?
The most exciting part of my career is to hear positive feedback from my clients and to see the finished project. It is very rewarding to know that I’ve made a positive impact on my clients’ home and lifestyle.
-
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
The owner of one of my recent kitchen renovations, was not sure which colour cabinetry and benchtop she would prefer. I’ve challenged her to pick a colour other than the standard white range because it will suit her home better. She was hesitant at first to take the risk, however she loved the finished product. This is one example of how I support clients to choose a design that will suit their home and lifestyle the best.
-
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I’m a very creative person and since I was a child I’ve enjoyed to build new things. I’m driven by challenges and I enjoy how cabinet making and renovations challenge my creative and technical skills.
