Fifty Years On: A Conversation with Rev. Jesse Jackson

Rev. Jesse Jackson made history in his 1984 and 1988 presidential campaigns, when he won 18 state contests and millions of votes, making him the first viable African-American candidate for President of the United States. He’s been on the outside and the inside, protesting and leading, at every Democratic convention over the past 50 years. Jackson will be interviewed by The Nation‘s chief political writer, John Nichols, and will be introduced by Nation Editor and Publisher, Katrina vanden Heuvel. Audience questions will follow.
