• Young people and their parents have highlighted the anomalies facing learner and probationary drivers crossing the border between Wodonga and Albury. Cathy has proposed a working group bringing together Federal and State Members to fix the problem.

• Lobbied the Government on behalf of Rutherglen winemakers on changes to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), and asked the Council for the Australian Federation to investigate the potential for a national RSA certificate

• Asked the Government to investigate the restriction on trade preventing Victorian wine sellers from selling wine at New South Wales farmers markets

• Spoke at Latrobe University's 2014 Mann Lecture on the issue of cross border problems

• Asked the Government to keep existing borders for the Albury-Wodonga Primary Health Network rather than splitting responsibilities at the border

• In responding to the Bill to abolish the Albury Wodonga Development Corporation, called on the Government to replicate the kind of vision and forethought on current cross border issues that had made the Corporation such a success
