Stanley Robinson (born January 7, 1979) known as Substantial is a hip-hop artist from Prince George's County, Maryland. He now operates out of Virginia.
His videos have appeared on MTV, BET, and VH1, while his music has made it to the second round of Grammy voting in three categories. The renowned car company Bentley reached out to have Substantial’s supergroup, FANOMM (with Chew Fu & J-Cast) to create a song for them and perform in China at their car show.
Stanley Robinson was born in Cheverly, Maryland on January 7, 1979. Growing up the first concert he attended was Run DMC featuring Naughty By Nature, and Lords of the Underground.
Substantial has stated that some of his main influences are Native Tongues, Outkast, and Redman.
In May 2011 Substantial underwent a preventative surgery to remove a potentially cancerous growth from his large and small intestines. Discussing the surgery Substantial said, “The purpose of the procedure I had on May 10th was to remove the section of my large and small intestines, where the growth was located. As I mentioned before, I don’t have cancer but I have decided to do the […] surgery as a preventive measure.”
An executive producer (EP) enables the making of a commercial entertainment product. The EP may be concerned with management accounting and/or with associated legal issues (like copyrights or royalties). An EP generally contributes to the film's budget and may or may not work on set.
In motion pictures, an executive producer oversees the filmmaking with regard to film finance. Executive producers liaise with the line producer and report to production companies and distributors.
In television, an executive producer often supervises the creative content as well as the financial aspects of a production. Some writers (for example Stephen J. Cannell and Tina Fey) have been the creator and also the producer of the same TV show. Other dual roles may include the executive director(s) starring in the show they produce, such as Full Throttle Saloon reality TV star, Jesse James Dupree. Still other shows may have more than one executive producer working on a TV show where there can be one among them who outranks the others. This position is known as the "showrunner," or operational executive producer.
The Art (sometimes stylised as THEART) are an Australian Alternative Rock band based in Sydney. They began performing under the name The Follow in 2004. Tasmanian band leader Azaria Byrne was known as an unsuccessful contestant on the reality television series Popstars.
Early highlights for the band's career have been supporting successful bands such as the Pixies, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Sonic Youth and Thirty Seconds to Mars as late as 2010, however this was marred by the crowd booing and calls to "get off the stage".
As band leader Azaria Byrne enters middle age success has so far eluded him despite media attention resulting from his being cuckolded by the even older fading celebrity Bill Corgan.
The other band members have all been described as "dull" but this could also be a result of the attention seeking behavior of their singer.
Jun Seba (瀬葉淳 Seba Jun, February 7, 1974 – February 26, 2010), born in the Nishi-Azabu district of Minato, Tokyo, Japan, was a Japanese hip hop producer and DJ who recorded under the name Nujabes (ヌジャベス Nujabesu). Nujabes /ˈnudʒɑːbɛs/ was an anagram of his name, being the reverse spelling of Seba Jun. He was the owner of the Shibuya record stores, T Records and Guinness Records and founder of the independent label Hydeout Productions. His style mixes hip hop, rap and jazz samples. Nujabes collaborated with other Japanese artists such as Uyama Hiroto, Shing02 (with whom he created the critically acclaimed "Luv(sic)" hexalogy), Minmi, and was also involved with America's underground hip hop scene through collaboration with CYNE, Apani B, Five Deez, Substantial, CL Smooth, Fat Jon, and Terry Callier. In his career he released five studio albums (Metaphorical Music in 2003, Samurai Champloo Music Record: Departure and Impression in 2004, Modal Soul in 2005, and Spiritual State which was incomplete upon his death released by Hydeout Productions in 2011). One of his most recognizable works is that of the background music for Shinichirō Watanabe's series Samurai Champloo.

She's always on my mind, I'm always missing her, a wait that feels like an eternity to be together. Waiting for the day we touch. I just want to hold her, caress her, her lips to mine. I'd do anything to be with her right now, but all good things do come in time. I love her like no one else does, like no one else can. And I await the time when we can finally be together. Robinson was given the moniker, Substantial, the Maryland born MC was anxious to know why the name was chosen for him. His friend replied, “It’s a word with many meanings, mostly positive. Real, strong, essential, influential. It represents the music you make.” The bar was set high from the onset. http://iamsubstantial.com About...

Lord Jamar shared his thoughts on slavery and Native Americans during a recent interview with VladTV, and the New York rapper said that there is substantial evidence to support that Africans are what we now think of as Native Americans. He explained that he has read about early settlers lying to unknowing younger generations about how they took from Africa and making them believe that they weren't born in America. The conversation also brought up evolution and skin color, which Lord Jamar believes starts with the mind, not geographic location. He also disagreed with evolution, as he told DJ Vlad that Black people were in Europe long before white people. To hear more of what Lord Jamar had to say, including his thoughts on Michelle Obama referencing the White House being built by slaves, ...
