Not exactly the most exciting pair of games we've ever seen, but Bulldogs and Sharks fans will go home happy (as well as anyone who owns Val Holmes or Sam Perrett in fantasy). The Knights were abysmal earlier today, and the Tigers weren't much better. Both edges took the brunt of the damage and by the end of the game, the middle was being busted open at will as well. In their defence, they were vastly down on troops by the end of the game.
That's it for today, we'll be back tomorrow with the final game of the round. Thanks for following along.
One more conversion from Holland and it's 36-4.
Reynolds ices it!
One more try before we head home - well worked from Josh Morris who cuts back from the left and draws a couple before passing it to Perrett who steps Simona and then pops a short pass to the five-eighth who just has to fall over the line.
Not a good couple of minutes for Rankin. After a long kick, he takes a hit up on tackle one but is driven back a good 6-7 metres and it will be a dropout!
Rankin throws a forward pass! Very sloppy past few minutes here.
Back to topThe Dogs come up with an error 20m out from their own line.
Nearly a great consolation try for the Tigers! Nofoaluma throws an audacious flick pass back to Brooks but he put a foot into touch before doing so.
Easy conversion and it's 30-4.
Garvey scores as the Dogs go 70m!
Gorgeous try here - Garvey scoots out of dummy half, throws it Graham who instantly taps it back on the inside to Perrett who shoots through the hole, draws the fullback and passes it back to the man who started the attacking move to finish it off as well!
But now Brooks comes up with an error! Dear me..
Back to topBrooks nails a 40/20! Brillaint kick and the Tigers will tap 15m out.
The Tigers build a bit of pressure with repeat sets, but it comes to nothing as Simona is thrown over the touchline by a trio of Dogs!
The Bulldogs go close again but Kasiano puts it down a yard out!
Hopefully Robbie Farah is alright..
Another miss so it's 24-4.
Back to topRona scores again!
The decision to go for the try is instantly vindicated - another simple move to the left and they beat them for numbers easily.
The bulldogs get a penalty 15m out right in front, but Lichaa will tap and go!
Update from AAP:
'Wests Tigers hooker Robbie Farah has been taken to hospital after a collision with Canterbury five-eighth Josh Reynolds in today's NRL clash at ANZ Stadium.
Farah was knocked out when he collided with Reynolds' hip as the Bulldogs playmaker put in a kick.
Reynolds appeared to trip and land on Farah's head with his knees but it did not appear to be intentional.
The Tigers said Farah was moving okay and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
With the NSW State of Origin side to be named after next week's round, Farah's injury will be closely monitored by Blues coach Laurie Daley.'
Another short kick from Brooks, Rankin chased through and he looked offside but it doesn't matter as he tries to kick it forward off the ground but toes it over the sideline.
Brooks grubbers, Reynolds can't handle it but it goes backwards and Perrett mops up.
