Aubrey is an English given name. It is most commonly a female name, although historically its use has been masculine. The name is a Norman French derivation of the Germanic given name Alberic, which consists of the elements alf "elf" and ric "power", with the meaning of "Fair Ruler of the Little People." Before the Norman conquest, the Anglo-Saxons used the corresponding variant Ælf-rīc (see Ælfric).
An early female form is recorded as Aubrée and does not share the same etymology. It is instead derived from the Germanic Albereda or Alberada. It can be found in certain genealogies of the noble Norman families (See f. e. Aubrey of Buonalbergo).
The name is traditionally male, but is more commonly used as a feminine name in the United States. It was the 20th most popular name given to girls born in the United States in 2014. The variants Aubree and Aubrie were the 61st most and 428th most popular given names for girls respectively. It was last ranked among the top 1,000 most common names for boys in the United States in 2002. It was the 479th most common name for all males in the United States in the 1990 census.
Aubrey Morgan O'Day (born February 11, 1984) is an American singer-songwriter, member of the duo band Dumblonde, reality television personality, and a former member of the girl group Danity Kane. Following discord among the group and with her mentor at the time, P. Diddy, O'Day was fired from the group in 2008, though reunited with the group in 2013. She has modeled for magazines such as Blender and Playboy, performed on Broadway in Hairspray, and made appearances on reality television shows. In 2011, she signed a solo record deal with SRC/Universal Motown Records, and released her debut EP Between Two Evils in 2013.
O'Day began performing at age five. "I lived on the stage, and even at six, slept behind the seats of the theatre," she stated in an interview. According to her mother, when O'Day was four, she was at a performance of The Nutcracker and started to cry. Her mother asked her what was wrong and O'Day replied, "I'm sad that I'm sitting here and not up on stage." O'Day recalls that moment as the one in which she "officially" realized her love for entertainment.
David Ashworth Gates (born December 11, 1940) is an American singer-songwriter and producer, best known as the lead singer of the group Bread, which reached the tops of the musical charts in Europe and North America on several occasions in the 1970s. The band was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Gates was surrounded by music from infancy, as the son of a band director and a piano teacher. He became proficient in piano, bass and guitar by the time he enrolled in Tulsa's Will Rogers High School. Gates joined local bands around Tulsa. During a concert in 1957, his high school band backed Chuck Berry. Later, Gates released his first local hit single, "Jo-Baby," a song he had written for his sweetheart, Jo Rita, whom he married in 1958 while enrolled at the University of Oklahoma. At Oklahoma he became a member of Delta Tau Delta International Fraternity.
In 1961, he and his family moved to Los Angeles, where Gates continued writing songs, and he worked as a music copyist, as a studio musician, and as a producer for many artists – including Pat Boone. Success soon followed. His composition "Popsicles and Icicles" hit No. 3 on the US Hot 100 for The Murmaids in January 1964. The Monkees recorded another of his songs, "Saturday's Child". By the end of the 1960s, he had worked with many leading artists, including Elvis Presley, Bobby Darin, Merle Haggard, Duane Eddy and Brian Wilson. In 1965, Gates arranged the Glenn Yarbrough hit, "Baby the Rain Must Fall". In 1966, he produced two singles on A&M Records for Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band which were hits in the Los Angeles area.
"And I" is a song written by American R&B singer Ciara, and produced by Adonis Shropshire for Ciara's first album, Goodies (2004). It was released as the album's fourth and final single on August 30, 2005 (see 2005 in music) in North America.
The song was originally the third choice for the fourth single. Ciara has mentioned in an interview that "Thug Style", "Hotline" or "Pick up the Phone" would be the fourth single, but when Ciara suggested "And I" to executives at her previous record label LaFace, they were unhappy because they wanted "Next to You" to be the fourth single.
At the time of the U.S. release of "And I", Ciara's collaboration with Bow Wow, "Like You", and her collaboration with Missy Elliott, "Lose Control", were at the height of their popularity. "And I" peaked at 96 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and 27 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart, which were poor positions compared to those attained by the first three singles from the album Goodies. It was not released outside North America because of this, and it is Ciara's least successful single.
Paul DelVecchio (born July 5, 1980), publicly known as DJ Pauly D, is an American television personality and disc jockey. He is best known for being a housemate on MTV's reality show Jersey Shore.
In August 2011, he announced a pending three-album deal with 50 Cent's G-Unit Records and G-Note Records. This deal was later confirmed by 50 Cent on December 1, 2011. He is also the first of the Jersey Shore cast to get his own spin-off show, The Pauly D Project.
DelVecchio was born on July 5, 1980 and raised in the Providence, Rhode Island area, and in Johnston, Rhode Island. Pauly is the son of Donna DiCarlo and Paul D. DelVecchio Sr. His mother has origins in Brazil. He has one sister, Vanessa. He attended Johnston High School. He began his career as a local DJ under the moniker Pauly D. One of his professional idols was DJ AM.
DelVecchio was cast in 2009 for Jersey Shore. He has stated that his being chosen for Jersey Shore had nothing to do with his music, but that they instead sent him a Myspace message after liking his look. After he sent them his number, "The casting directors called me from LA and they said they wanted to send down a camera crew to Rhode Island to film a day in my life. They filmed me at the gym, filmed me tanning and filmed me going to the club. Six months later they said I got on the show. I never really auditioned."

For a love that wouldn't bloom For the hearts that never played in tune. Like a lovely melody that everyone can sing, Take away the words that rhyme it doesn't mean a thing. And Aubrey was her name. We triped the light and danced together to the moon, But where was June. No it never came around. If it did it never made a sound, Maybe I was absent or was listening to fast, Catching all the words, but then the meaning going past, But God I miss the girl, And I'd go a thousand times around the world just to be Closer to her than to me. no one in this world, no one in this world
no one in this world, no one in this world, can take the place of you
stop, right there
open your eyes
help me find a reason
not to say goobye
keep holding on to my love
and again our hearts will mend
nothing can break us apart
only we decide the end
so let me love you
like never before
let me hold you in my arms
oh, let me feel you once more
'cause there's no one in this world
that I want more than you
and no one could ever take the place of you
just stop
right there
open your eyes
how are we so blind
not to see our love deprived
kidding ourselves so easily
and holding on to pride
now we need to work things out
or our love just won't survive
so let me love you
like never before
let me hold you in my arms
oh, let me feel you once more
'cause there's no one in this world
that I want more than you
and no one could ever take the place of you
no one in this world, no one in this world
no one can take your place
no one in this world, no one in this world
no one can take your place
no one in this world, no one in this world
can take the place of you

let me hold you in my arms
oh let me feel you once more
'cause theres no one in this world
that I want more than you
