Mariah Carey fans can breathe a sigh of relief, with the pop star's first live show since the now notorious New Year's Eve performance going off without a hitch.
On Thursday, Carey appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to belt out her latest single (or, more aptly-put, James Packer smackdown) I Don't.
Drummer Rob Hirst and frontman Peter Garrett say they're several weeks into rehearsals for their upcoming tour and they've 'never felt nastier', during a press event on-board the Mari Nawi in Sydney Harbour.

After a rocky year in 2016, Mariah Carey makes a triumphant return performance on Jimmy Kimmel.
Wearing a red gown and flanked by three back-up singers, including close friend Mary Ann Tatum, the diva-in-chief smashed the performance out of the park - and without having to burn a wedding dress for good measure.
Rapper YG, who is the guest artist in I Don't, also made an appearance on stage. He donned a dapper white suit, his chemistry with Carey palpable.

The performance was make-or-break for Carey, who was widely mocked for giving up halfway through a song on New Year's Eve and later blaming technical difficulties - despite her backup dancers being able to hear the music and never skipping a beat.
The woman who served bangers like All I Want for Christmas Is You was always going to have another crack at live performing, however.

"But it will make me less trusting of using anyone outside of my own team," she said.
After all, Carey needs to practise ahead of her upcoming All the Hits tour with Lionel Richie. It will be her first North American tour in seven years, and kicks off next month.
