Anthony Moses Davis (born 22 August 1973), better known by his stage name Beenie Man, is a Grammy award-winning Jamaican reggae dancehall recording artist. He is referred to as the world's "King of Dancehall".
Davis was born in the Waterhouse district of Kingston in 1973. He was involved in the music industry from a young age, starting toasting at the age of five, and was encouraged by his uncle Sydney Knowles, who played drums for Jimmy Cliff. He won the Tastee Talent contest in 1981, and Radio DJ Barry G introduced him to local sound system operators, who helped to establish the popularity of the young deejay, who became known as Beenie Man. He recorded his debut single, "Too Fancy", with record producer Henry "Junjo" Lawes in 1981, with Lawes also including him on the 1983 album Junjo Presents Two Big Sounds alongside established stars such as Dillinger, Fathead, and Ringo. His debut album, The Invincible Beenie Man: The Ten Year Old DJ Wonder was produced by Bunny Lee and released in 1983, his first hit single following the same year with the Winston Holness-produced "Over the Sea". In 1984 Beenie Man recorded some material with Barrington Levy (released ten years later), but his music career was put on hold while he finished school, and spent time travelling to the United Kingdom, United States, and Canada.
Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques (born 9 January 1973), known simply as Sean Paul, is a Jamaican dancehall ragga hip hop recording artist, musician, producer and actor.
Sean Paul was born in Kingston, Jamaica to parents Garth and Frances, both of whom were talented athletes. His mother is a well-known painter. His paternal grandfather had Sephardi Jewish ancestry, from a family that had emigrated from Portugal, and his paternal grandmother was Afro-Caribbean; his mother is of English and Chinese Jamaican descent. Sean Paul was raised as a Catholic, though aware that his grandfather came from an old respected Jamaican Jewish family. Many members of his family are swimmers. His grandfather was on the first Jamaican men's national water polo team. His father also played water polo for the team in the 1960s, and competed in long-distance swimming, while Sean Paul's mother was a backstroke swimmer. Sean Paul played for the national water polo team from the age of 13 to 21, when he gave up the sport in order to launch his musical career. He attended Wolmer's Boys' School and the College of Arts, Science, and Technology, now known as the University of Technology, where he was trained in commerce with an aim of pursuing an occupation in hotel management.

The last time the king of the Dancehall was on our stage he campaigned against extremities in the physical Dancehall space; more specifically ladies stripping nude in the dance. Eleven months have passed since then and the “girls dem sugar” is singing the same song, but to a different tune. This time, the extremity at hand is male dancers taking their antics with females in the dance too far; an issue that many would say is not new, but after a video surfaced in social media this week with what appears to be a group of male dancers attacking a female, sed issue came into sharp focus as the video captures attention worldwide. Beenie man right now on the topic, with his own much talked about issue with a female patron in dancehall.
Beenie Man stops by the morning show and talks about his new project, and the current status of Dancehall music. CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/12IN6vb HOT97: http://www.hot97.com TWITTER: https://twitter.com/HOT97 FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/HOT97OFFICIAL

Verse 1:
I'm brave but I'm shaking
I'm near but yet I'm far
I don't believe in civilization
But yet I still drive a car
I'm crippled but I'm walking
I'm freed yet I'm barred
I don't believe in hard work
But still I have a farm
Chorus:
But look what it all comes down to
Ain't goona figure it yet
'Till you have one hand full of ashes
And the other hand is putting your soul to rest
Verse 2:
I'm broke but I'm still spending
I'm poor but I'm kind
I'm a sinner yet I'm an angel
I'm leading but I'm behind
I'm dumb but I'm talking
I'm seeing yet I'm blind
I'm dull but I'm still shinning
I'm alive but I can die
Chorus
Verse 3:
I ain't hungry but I'm drinking
I hate liquor but I'm drinking wine
I'm puzzled to be crowned king
I'm the law but I do crime
I'm cool but I'm vicious
I'm a fool but I'm wise
I'm a politician but I'm not voting
I guess this is the end of my line
Chorus
Verse 4 (Bridge):
I'm sad but I'm happy
I'm not gonna loose my mind
It's late but it's so early
